Great location, really close to everything you'd want to see in old York. Very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. My only quibble - and this is more my fault than that of the hotel - is that to get up to my room, on the top floor, I had to lug a giant suitcase up several flights of a winding, narrow stairway. (York was a stop on my way to work for a month - ergo the giant suitcase). No other amenities in the hotel, so if you want a bite to eat, you'll have to go out. Not a big deal, as there are countless establishments within a 10-minute walk. For comfort and location, I should give the place 4 stars. Just wish it had a "lift"

Great location, steps away from the Piccadilly station and not far from shopping. Felt safe and lots of restaurant options as well. Room was very spacious and bed and pillows were very comfortable.
