Rustic, No frills

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Private. Rustic, gorgeous views.
Cons: The furniture is painfully outdated. The countertops in the kitchen are chipped and water-stained. Wash your own dishes or pay $25. Not fun.
Location: The man at check-n suggested a 20 min walk to Tonquin Beach, and it is beautiful! All restaurants, groceries, a boutiques are within walking dist.
This Cabin at the end of the town of Tofino, was beautifully situated on a small cliff over looking the ocean. Our Cabin was a gorgeous A-frame room with kitchen, 1 king bed, queen pull out, and 2 singles in the loft. It also has a wood burning stove. The deck had a full size BBQ and two big comfy wood chairs made for taking in the views with a glass of wine!

Amazing view!

We stayed in a studio room overlooking the ocean- completely worth it. I wish we'd spent more time on the balcony! If you're main preference is a view, then this is it!

Very nice location above the cove.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Cleanliness
Location: Everything in tofino activities
We had a room with kitchenette and bathroom with private entrance and patio . Our children and grandson had a 2 bedroom suite with kitchenette and bathroom. We booked late, so that we could not get a cabin. Pets are allowed, many guests brought theirs and the owners have also a sweet dog and a cat. There is plenty of space between cabins and the buildings for walking and stairs to the shore. Close to the restaurants and shops, but being at the end of the street at the shore no disturbance at all for the guests. Sunset views for many rooms, but not ours. Shady location between high trees.

Stay at Duffin Cove during May 2015

Posted May 19, 2015 on Hotels
Positive – 1. Great location. Steps away from grocery, harbour/dock, restaurants. 2. We had selected a room with ocean view. This was excellent indeed. 3. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Provided useful response to our questions about neighbourhood. In one occasion she went out of the way to help me for internet connectivity, by resetting modem etc. 4. We once reported a minor issue with electrical power outlet for hot kettle and this was promptly addressed. Not so positive – 1. Room could have more storage option, such as wardrobe to hang trousers, shirts. 2. We could not really control temperature effectively, either in bathroom or in living area. 3. Along with wi-fi password, it would be helpful if exact network names were provided (ex: DC_guest and others such as DC_6plex etc.). Different network becomes available depending on where you are in the property.

Great weekend getaway

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: The views and the friendly staff.
Cons: I noticed nothing that needed to be improved.
Location: Lots of great places to eat and drink within walking distance.
We only stayed there one night but it was the perfect place to get away. The views were amazing, the balcony came with comfy chairs and space to relax and just listen to the water. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The TV was very outdated, but you're not there to watch TV. The wifi in Tofino is useless so say goodbye to check your emails! But at least at Duffin Cove resort, you barely have time to notice. The staff were phenomenal, friendly, chatty, and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Surf trip with 3 bos and 2 dogs

Posted Mar 29, 2015 on Hotels
Loved our stay at the Duffin Cove and we had one of the best views in Tofino with our own private oceanside A-frame cottage. It is not always easy to travel with 3 kids and 2 dogs but the staff was great with everything from food recommendations (TacoFino)to extra towels for soggy dogs. The only suggestion would be to provide paper for burning as our fire was challenging to get going and it was very damp in Tofino during our stay.

Will stay there again!

Everything about our stay at Duffin Cove was great. We got to stay in room 106 - amazing view. Shannon, the GM, was extremely helpful in getting a trip to Hot Springs Cove set up, as well as recommendations on places to eat as well as places to shop for some things we needed. The resort itself was beautiful, and it's in a perfect location at the end of the main street in Tofino (Campbell). I'd recommend this place to anyone and will look here first for any future trips to Tofino!

Pros:
