More about location than comfort

It had been a few years since I stayed at an APA hotel and wow did I forget how small the rooms are. Small by even Japan standards. In the double room, the bed is up against the wall, you have to crawl into it from one side. But at the last minute, for the location, it was okay. With a bit more planning, you'd have more space and save at a Toyoko Inn. Or if you're already out in east Shinjuku, you'd pay about the same for a love hotel.
The room was showing a lot of wear and tear, floor and walls should be re-done. Bed and bathroom were fine as usual in Japan. TIP: Sign-up to be a member at the front desk, and you'll get a ticket for a one hour later check-out, which can be used right away. Also, be aware they have another property in East Shinjuku, we accidently went there first.
