High-end hotel catered for the privileged

Posted Sep 11, 2016
Pros: It's attention to details from their staff
Cons: Prefect
Location: Middle of financial district with large corporate buildings nearby
Very exclusive and high-end hotel for those who have deep pockets and craves privacy, comfort and quiet environment.

Beautiful hotel in a great location for transportation, high end shopping and wonderful restaurants. The MOST helpful staff. They helped us so so much as we do not speak Japanese: buying train tickets, walking us to the trains, making restaurant reservations, etc. Would stay in this hotel next time we are in Tokyo.

not for tourists...

Posted Aug 8, 2016
Pros: not impressed, stayed at and have dined at many four seasons, this place not on par the restaurant however was delicious and what you would expect
Cons: knowledge and disclosure
Location: location was where we wanted to be by the trains and ginza, the shangri la is more of what we expected, place with view and amazing lobby/lounge
hotel caters to business people only, concierge not that informed about the area or restaurants. Booked us at only places that are $150-$200 per person meals without alcohol. Felt we were taken advantage of, left restaurants hungry and unsatisfied. We then had to find and do all the research on our own, thankfully we were resourceful. The lobby was like a kiosk in the back of an office building with no lounge or bar area with the exception of the restaurant on the 7th floor, really no place to hang out other than your room with no view. our toilet flusher fell off the first night and they compensated us 30% discount for 1st night. staff was nice as to be expected anywhere in tokyo but not knowledgeable at all about places to go and had information inaccurate for example they said the famous fish market opened at 9:00am when it didn't open until 10:00am, the imperial palace tour was at 10am when it was actually at 9am and wasn't open on the day we went, which they should have known which wasted our mornings on 2 occasions due to lack of concierge expereince. We went to a recommend four season made reservation that had no prices you had to point to what you wanted. we were the only folks in the restaurant & ordered 3 small sticks of beef, 1 stick of red snapper, 10 pieces of standard sashimi and some vegetables the bill $350, went home starving and totally taken advantage of by the hotel and restaurant. Tokyo is a major city, we expected much more from four seasons...

Best Hotel in Tokyo!

Posted Jul 15, 2016
Location: Easy walk to Ginza, imperial palace, and many other sites...
Most wonderful staff! Just a delight to stay at this hotel! Absolutely great vacation! Very thoughtful...last day of my visit was my birthday.. They send up a pastry with the words happy birthday BUT THE MOST THOUGHTFUL GIFT WAS A CARD SIGNED BY THE INDIVIDUAL STAFF! Highly recommend this hotel and its great location.. Close to Japan's extensive mass transit system...Tokyo Station..

Best staff ever!!

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay in Tokyo as best as it could be. The gentlemen that oriented us to our room and surroundings actually took it upon himself to get us to ramen street and help us order our food. Best hotel ever!!

World class hotel near Tokyo Station

Posted Jun 20, 2016
We were totally delighted with our stay at the the Four Seasons Marunouchi. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, helpful and attentive. We loved the smaller size, the meticulous condition and the location of this hotel. We were concerned prior to arrival about any language barriers as we do not speak Japanese but we had no issues at all in the hotel. We used the hotel's airport greeting service and I highly recommend it as the train system in Japan was not intuitive to a foreigner. In short, we were thrilled with this hotel and the world class service. I would not change a thing!

Great experience

Posted Jun 16, 2016
This hotel is incredible, and is what I would consider a true 5-star hotel and experience. The service was beyond expectations, the rooms were very clean (and I have high standards to claim this), and the room/comfort was great. Of course, it is expensive but you are getting a lot for the money. In the US you can pay for a 5-star hotel and not get anything near the level of facilities, services, and cleanliness of this hotel (or really any Japanese hotel we stayed in on our trip). As other reviewers mentioned, the hotel staff even carried our bags to the Narita express platform at the station (a pretty involved walk). We also had 2 younger children with us, and we were pleasantly surprised that a hotel that seems to be primarily geared toward business travelers was setup very well for children. They left treats in the room for the kids, had a couple of activities for the kids to do that they loved (e.g., the hotel provided a template/letter for our kids to write to the general manager's daughter and tell her about what they had done in their visit to Japan), had movies for kids available for check-out at the front desk (for free), and were generally very accommodating to the kids in general. I highly recommend this hotel!!!
