Convenient and clean hotel

Posted Dec 17, 2016 on Hotels
The size of room is quite acceptable for 3 double beds. The toilet is small but fully equipped. The location of the hotel is near Shimbashi station which is convenient to move around.

Ginza Grand

Posted Dec 14, 2016 on Orbitz
The only saving grace to this dump is its proximity to the Ginza main shopping strip. The hotel itself was sub par, at best. It was covered in a level of dust that only a renovation could remove. The smoking room we accidentally got was not suitable for humans. Utterly vile. The non smoking room was bearable. Even the non smoking floors were smelly and smoky. If you have even the mildest allergies or asthma, do not stay here. Definitely not suitable for children.

Not Great

Posted Dec 12, 2016 on Hotels
First off, we arrived at 2pm and the hotel would not let us check in as the earliest check in time was 3pm. They had nowhere that we could rest or freshen up after 16 hours of travelling, so we went to sit in a local park for an hour and tried not to fall asleep. Room was tiny (one side of the bed was against the wall to facilitate having enough room on the other side to get into it, meaning that the person on the wall side would have to either climb over the other person or scramble to the end of the bed to get out), though that's to be expected in central Tokyo. The bathroom, however, looked like it was lifted right out of a caravan - It was a cheap plastic box and the shower was a hose connected to the taps with water pressure that produced little more than a dribble - definitely not modern. We were on the second floor so there wasn't far to go to the lobby, except we could not find steps down to the lobby anywhere and the lifts were constantly being called to floors above us and therefor had precedence when going up and were very often full on the way back down. They really need to clearly sign where the exits and steps are - Imagine if there were a fire!

Inexpensive hotel in Ginza

Posted Oct 31, 2016
Pros: Very close to the train station. Not that expensive. Fast check-in.
Cons: The information for the air conditioner was only in Japanese so I did not know how to use it.
Location: Hooters was very fun.

Convenient location. Easy access to subway and airport bus to and from Narita Airport. Tsukiji Shijo is within walking distance for 15 minutes only. However, it was my first experience that any extension of check out time request is subject to extra charge though for an hour extent ion.
