The superior double twin room was great. Not huge but just enough had a nice little corner couch, perfect for suitcases. Little fridge, and safe, bidet, hairdryer etc all supplied Their pillows are very hard and seemed to have “dried beans”in them. They do offer an upgrade but we’re out when we tried. Our airplane neck pillows saved us!!otherwise everything was perfect. Staff was super nice!

Excellent spot for those on a budget
While the space might be a little smaller than some might be used to, the location combined with the price can't be beat for those wanting to be near Akihabara.

Small, quaint hotel. Decent stay, clean and nice bathroom, great shower pressure. Not a lot of space in actual room especially w large luggage, we had 2 med and 1 small and super tight. 2 twin deluxe room for 2 adults and 4 yr old, it wasnt big enough for 1 adult and 4 yr old to sleep on twin unless adult slept on their side. Friendly, professional staff, they booked our taxi night before but had to redo next morning and got it worked out by our check out time. Opted out of breakfast buffet bc we liked going to conbini and grabbing various prepped food and snacks and drinks. We didnt eat in immediate area but a good 10-15 min walk to nearest metro station.

Great value for money
Great value for money. Room has a microwave, which is handy to heat up ready meals from convenience stores. Fairly convenient location, about 10 mins from Okachimachi and Ueno JR stations (note that if you’re visiting in summer, this is a fairly long walk due to the heat and humidity). Local area is fairly quiet with quite a few dining options.

Good value accommodation but beds/pillows were unc
Good location - quiet, well service with public transport, but away from busy /party areas (if that’s what you want). Feels like an authentic local Tokyo neighbourhood. Matresses and pillows were very hard. But overall the hotel was very value. Rooms are small but that’s Tokyo.

Good stay in Ueno
This hotel is a short walk from the subway and in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. It is within a 20 minute walk to the Ueno shopping area and its restaurants and bars. The room was small by European standards but was clean and well appointed, with a nice bathrooom. The view out of the window was onto a stark brick wall, so the room was quite dark. Beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet at night. Breakfast was buffet style and catered more for Asian tastes but did have toast, pastries and eggs. Check in was efficient and staff were friendly. I was happy with this hotel and thought it fair value for Tokyo.

Good View, Old Room
The wifi was much better than other hotels. The room was kind of old though and I didnt find the bed to be comfortable. Nice view of skytree. I would consider staying here again only if the price is right, which this time I feel as though it was a bit high. perhaps the value of this room in my opinion is $57 per night

I've been to this hotel twice before. Breakfast is always rich and tasty. Location is good because the area is quite and oh so neighborly ambient. Well connected to the subway and there is a supermarket 5 minutes walking time (important for me anyway). Just loved it.

Disappointing, cannot recommend
My family was disappointed with this hotel, and we would not stay here again. To summarize: -Although it appeared clean, there was an overpowering stench of stale urine when we opened the bathroom door in our room. It was disgusting to the point of making me feel sick. We called down to the front desk and asked for a room change due to the horrible odor in the bathroom. They did change our room, and fortunately the bathroom in second room we moved to smelled OK. -However, we later had issues in our second room as well; the air conditioner would randomly turn off in the middle of the night. Our stay was in August when Tokyo is extremely hot and humid 24 hours a day. We woke up several times during the night covered in sweat. During the first night, I had to get up to turn on the air conditioner again 5 times after it randomly went off! I mentioned the issue to the front desk the following day, and the staff simply said, "I'm very sorry" and offered no solution. We experienced the exact same problem during the second night of our stay. -The room was ridiculously small. I know this is common in Tokyo hotels, but even so, the room was far too tiny for a family of three. -It was noisy. There seemed to be no soundproofing as we could hear people walking and talking in the hallways at all hours. During the two nights we stayed here, I barely slept. Overall, this hotel does not deserve the positive reviews it currently has. We would definitely not stay here again.

Sorry for the inconvenience associated with air conditioning. We received your offer and confirmed it while you were out, however there was no failure, and also the timer function was not working. The air conditioner is equipped with an automatic function, and operation may stop temporarily at a certain room temperature. We are sorry for the lack of explanation. And sorry for the inconvenience that the manual installed in the room is difficult to understand. We will continue to strive for a better hotel. Thank you very much for your valuable feedback.

Good First Stay in Tokyo
A pleasant, simple, good value hotel with helpful staff. The immediate area was not touristy (which we liked) and some of the restaurants did not display menus in English, the staff were always patient and helped us order. There are places to visit within walking distance. There are several train and metro stations not too far away, and these enabled us to see the rest of Tokyo. The Yamanote line is included on JR Pass, which was handy for us.

This hotel location is about 15 minutes walking distance from Okachimachi Station. Also it’s very hard to catch taxi in front of a hotel if you decide to use taxi because it’s not a main traffic street. Hotel staffs will charge you a call service fee if you ask them to call a taxi or shuttle for you. It’s not close to any big stores that convenient for tourists. Staffs here are respectful but not friendly at all, no smiling and a bit irritating when you ask question.

Not for a good nights sleep
If you are looking for a comfortable bed this is definitely not the Hotel for you. I have stayed in many Japanese hotels and none of them are famous for great beds but this was the worst bed I have ever slept in. The floor would have been better. Also, this hotel is several blocks off the beaten path, which is great for nice quiet evenings but not great if you want to be right in the action or have bars/restaurants close by.

When checking in, the staff offered me a room with a sky-tree view. The room was spacious and very clean and I had a comfortable stay after a long flight. The property is located in the distance of 10-15min walk from JR Ueno station. It may be a little bit far for some people, but there was no problem for me.
