Small room small bed

Posted Jul 21, 2017
Pros: Breakfast was handy to have and
Location: Being able to see the hotel sign from far up the road made finding the hotel easy
The location and quality of the hotel is consistence with the hotel rating. the bed was a small double but it fitted the small size room.

Would be a perfect stay without rude Chinese

Posted Jul 15, 2017
My second stay at Hotel Villa Fontaine. First time 2 years ago we were at Kanda. This year we thought we would change location to somewhere near Okachimachi market and this is place is perfect for what we needed. My son and I were very happy at the hotel. Great wifi and clean room. We love their hospitality and honestly. I lost my wallet overnight when I came down to heat up my midnight dinner after late arrival on our first day. 10 hours later when i woke up in the morning and realised my wallet was gone missing, I ran down to the reversion and found that someone kept it for me. I'm so pleased about it. It can be a little difficult to communicate with hotel staff, as much as they were willing to help but their English is pretty basic. The only complain is the noise from Chinese tourists. We were surrounded by them during breakfast. Rude, selfish and greedy who have no manners at dinning tables. Twice we had to put our breakfast in a take away container and ate in our room. We will definitely come back again but not willing to see any rude Chinese tourists.

Hotel

Pros: Room was nice and good breakfasts
Cons: A bit more conversations with the staff
Location: In an alright area but plenty of trains to get to more shopping areas
It was a nice hotel, the staff spoke alright English but only spoke to us when we were checking in and out , it would have been nice if they checked up on us as we were there 2 weeks . Breakfast was better then i expected , they changed the eggs and meat slightly each day so it didn't get boring. Room cleaners were really good, came every day and you leave signs on the door for what you want done. I had a twin room with my sister, it was nice with really food facilities (e.g. kettle, types of tea, cups, microwave, and freebies for the bathroom) with no extra charge. There was enough room for us but i cant say it was a big room Its in an alright area. There's plenty of train stations near by and they aren't to hard to figure out but the hotel isn't as close to areas as i thought but train tickets are cheap as chips so that was alright. All in all i would recommend this hotel. It did everything we needed for the holiday.

Pros: Hotel is very near the Ueno train station and is accessible to a lot of shops.
Cons: Rooms could be much bigger.
The room is equipped well with toiletries and is clean but it is a bit small. We have two 27' luggages with two carry-on. We don't have any space at all. Moreover, I had bed bites. Luckily I brought a portable lysol spray.

The hotel was great! Very well located, close to oedo line station shinokachimachi, and 20 min walk from ueno and akihabara and about 30 min from asakusa. Staff was very helpful and kind. The room was clean and comfortable, but expect Tokyo standards, not too big, for me it was perfect. Breakfast is included and it was great, just a bit different everyday. I would repeat in there!!^^

Very tight quarters, good location

Posted May 20, 2017
Pros: Location. Bathroom size. Safe.
Cons: Twin beds room were way too cramped. Breakfast was not very good. Smell of cigarette smoke as you enter the hotel.
Location: Akihabara. Market, Train station to access Tokyo metro.
When you enter the hotel it often smelled of cigarette smoke. The room was very small even for Japanese standards. We had two single beds and there was barely any room to move about the room. We had to put our luggage pieces under the bed. Nice size tub, bigger than most. Good location; 5 mins walk to train station, 20 mins walk to Akihabara and close by market. Breakfast was not very good. Fresh fruit, yogurt would have been nice. Salad for breakfast? Scrambled eggs were gelatinous.

Quiet area. Good for a nice rest.

Away from the neon chaos of Tokyo, this hotel provides much needed sanctuary. A short walk from the nearest station, we found it very handy. On arrival, staff showed no empathy after our 14 hour journey. Asked if our room was ready as we were exhausted, but told we had to wait another 3 hours to check in so had to crash in their lounge. Hotel wasn't busy at the time. Not cool guys. Room size OK. Mattress like concrete. Pillows like sandbags. Brekkie was lovely and filling. Local shops & cafés welcoming. Take the rough with the smooth I guess.
