"Great Little Hotel!"
This place is a great budget option for folks who'd like to stay in Tokyo, but don't want to break the bank. It's in Asakusa, which is one of my favorite parts of Tokyo. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the famous Kaminarimon Gate, and Sensouji Shrine. It's also about a five minute walk from the Kuramae subway station, and a seven minute walk from Asakusa station. The room was very small, and the "double" bed was more like an oversized twin, but it was quiet and clean, with plenty of basic amenities. Room service is extra, but we only stayed four nights, so we didn't miss it. The staff's English was very good, and they were polite and helpful. They even give you an English map of the area. They also have a coin laundry downstairs, which we appreciated since we had packed very light. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Tokyo.

"Good area for Asakusa , easy to get to metro."
Had a great time exploring Tokyo from here. Please note the sign outside the hostel has a picture of a backpacker and sign says Tokyo Hostel, does not say bAkpAk Hostel

"Good"
I'm satisfied with the hotel .. Except for it is little hard to find for people who go there for first time cause there are no sign or no direction guide to the hotel. From hotel to subway or train station is quite easy if u can remember how to walk ..

"Everything you need"
We are in our early 50s so not typical hostel guests but I'm a coeliac wanting access to a kitchen so we were very happy to stay in this well run and clean place with friendly staff with excellent English, 350m from uriya metro station and less than 1000 yen by taxi to Ueno Shinkansen station. Our twin room was small with firm mattress and pillow (typical in japan 3 star) but quality linen and only 3m from shared toilets and showers which were clean and pleasant and always available when we needed. Kitchen is spacious and well set up. This is not luxury but it is comfortable, safe, easy and the best value for money.

"Nice hotel option for Disney Tokyo "
Great hotel conveniently located near food and shopping. They provide a shuttle service to Disney Tokyo and Disney Sea. Although the beds are a little firm we found them to be very comfortable. The rooms are large, great for a family. Several dinning options within and around the hotel. Staff was very helpful and courteous. The limo bus drops you right at the front of the hotel from both the Narita and Haneda airports. We would stay here again if going to Disney.

"Art Deco Hotel - Great if you want what you get"
I would recommend staying here if you are interested in Art Deco, Tokyo's 20th century past, or just an interesting experience. I stayed here because it has a beautiful Art Deco exterior, and was (is?) a hangout for the literati of Tokyo. The hotel interior gives the impression of being a bit tired. But that is because it is all from the 1950s (?). My room was comfortable; but a bit dowdy. The area around the hotel has many trees. It was a novel experience to wake up in Tokyo to the sound of birdsong! At night I was lulled to sleep by someone playing jazz in the Meiji University dorms adjacent to the hotel. Don't stay in the annex; nothing to recommend it. I'm not sure that I would stay here if you are just coming for tourism and want a modern affordable hotel. If you are coming to Tokyo on the Narita Express, get off at Tokyo station, and change to the Chuo JR line. Go to Ochanomizu (Water for Tea...nice name!). Go out of the station at the Meiji University side. The hotel is 10 minutes walk. It's a hilly area (hence name of hotel). It's an easier walk if you go past the Kandasurugadai post office, and take a left. Have a look at the map inside the station before you exit. This is a great area. There are many used book stores, some of which specialize in European languages. Also many musical instrument stores. Since it is a university area, there are many cheap restaurants; Japanese,Indian, Thai, Chinese, and hamburgers. There are also many bars and coffee houses.

"Best place to stay in Asakusa!"
This was the third place we stayed in Japan (Tokyo and Kyoto) it was outstanding. The room is a good size and very well appointed with a fully equipped kitchen (stove, sink, kettle, rice maker, full size fridge, microwave, dishes, etc), ipod deck, cable tv, wi-fi (upon request but no extra charge), lots of storage space for clothes and bathroom items, robes, slippers, and a big shower. The bed is also very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel also offers free bicycle usage. The hotel is located directly in the middle of the old town of Asakusa with the Sensoji temple around the corner. The Asakusa train station is within walking distance (5 min). All in all a superb place to stay!

"Solid value for a well located and functional flat"
Fantastic location, and very functional extended stay apartment. New and very clean. Features all the necessary amenities for extended stay needs, including functional kitchen, refigerator, stove, microwave / toaster oven, washing machine, easy access to internet, digital TV, sufficient closet space for clothes, shoes, and luggage, very nice Japanese style bath, washlet toilet, etc. Location of the apartment is also an excellent feature, which is located within a one minute walk from the Azabu Juban station, and an approximate ten minute walk to Roppongi Hills. There are a number of convenience and grocery stores, in addition to small and charming restaurants, Starbuck's, Tulley's coffee, McDonalds, etc. within very close proximity. The apartment features a double bed, which may be too cozy for couples, but is sufficient in size for people staying by themselves. Overall, good value for money.
