Absolutely fantastic experience

Staying at the Park Hyatt is truly an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself is stunning from top to bottom, the rooms are luxurious but comfortable (with some of the best views of Tokyo in the city), the service is impeccable, and the hotel's restaurants and bars, while as pricey as you'd expect, is well worth it, especially when you factor in the ambiance, service, and views. Unlike many Western hotels in Japan, it feels both completely unique (not like a larger and slightly fancier version of a chain hotel) and comfortable (rooms and lounges you want to sit down and hang out in, not walk through like you're in a museum). Basically, if you have a chance to stay here, even if it's only for one night, I couldn't recommend it any more.
One thing worth keeping in mind, especially if you're planning on a longer stay here, is that the hotel is about 15-20 minutes on foot from the nearest "downtown" area near Shinjuku Station. There's a handful of convenience stores and restaurants near the hotel itself, but tourists will definitely want to start from Shinjuku every day. It's a fairly quick cab ride to and from the station, but those looking to avoid cabs or who want to be more centrally located may want to keep the hotel's location in mind.
