Pros: As above
Cons: Shuttle buses. Great from the hotel but 3 x we tried to catch the bus back, waited 30 mins (supposed to be 20 mins) & had to get taxis
Loved the hotel, location and stunning views ..............................

One of the most amazing hotels I've stayed in Worth the expense Stayed in a family deluxe room with more than adequate space for 4 of us Has a great view of Mt Fuji All the rooms in the hotel are located above the 40th floor with check in on level 40 Heard great things about the New York bar and grill but didn't get to visit this

Stayed on floor 51. Dined in Japanese restaurant where we had excellent staff recommendations on food. This hotel is a lovely experience and well worth investing in.

Amazing hotel but overpriced food

Loved all of the facilities of this hotel but found all good including the breakfast buffet extremely overpriced..also be aware of extra charges when menu items aren't included in breakfast cost!

Absolutely fantastic experience

Pros: Food, views, ambiance, service.
Cons: Mandatory tips and cover charges - not great practices in Japan.
Location: Not much around the hotel itself. 15-20 minutes from Shinjuku Station, so most people will want to take cabs (especially with luggage).
Staying at the Park Hyatt is truly an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself is stunning from top to bottom, the rooms are luxurious but comfortable (with some of the best views of Tokyo in the city), the service is impeccable, and the hotel's restaurants and bars, while as pricey as you'd expect, is well worth it, especially when you factor in the ambiance, service, and views. Unlike many Western hotels in Japan, it feels both completely unique (not like a larger and slightly fancier version of a chain hotel) and comfortable (rooms and lounges you want to sit down and hang out in, not walk through like you're in a museum). Basically, if you have a chance to stay here, even if it's only for one night, I couldn't recommend it any more. One thing worth keeping in mind, especially if you're planning on a longer stay here, is that the hotel is about 15-20 minutes on foot from the nearest "downtown" area near Shinjuku Station. There's a handful of convenience stores and restaurants near the hotel itself, but tourists will definitely want to start from Shinjuku every day. It's a fairly quick cab ride to and from the station, but those looking to avoid cabs or who want to be more centrally located may want to keep the hotel's location in mind.
