They cancelled my booking without notice, literally a day before my trip. I had to scramble and ended up overpaying for a hotel in the same area. No notice, no explanation. I had booked this hotels months in advance. I understand things happen, but please offer some type of explanation or correspondence. Unbelievable

Did not like at all that the bathroom window doesn’t have any kind of black out curtain, which made the curtain in the other window nearly useless at night. As someone who needs near total darkness to sleep this was very bothersome.

The amenities provided by this hotel are excellent (breakfast buffet, in-room toiletries and treats, size of the room and a reasonable check-out time). It is also right next to many restaurants and nightlife!

Small room when compared to western standards but for the price you get great value and impeccable service. The rooms are clean and the spaces are well thought out and appointed. Note that this is on the perimeter of the Kabukicho red light district so if you’re walking around at night you’ll most likely have to walk through a sea of merrymakers, adult-catered establishment (including quite a few dodgy ones) and an occasional haggler. Some may find this an interesting experience in itself. I probably wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families. All this said, if I needed to stay in the Shinjuku area again and was traveling solo or just with my partner, I would stay here again.
