Pros: the design of the hotel, location
there was no ice, no water, no microwave, floors were very cold no pots or pans

Disappointing

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: A renovation. Better customer response. Security checks. Better breakfast buffet.
Location: Location fine. I don't know what there was to do nearby because I was staying to go to a wedding in the area.
No one at front desk on arrival. Chipped paint in room, bathroom door didn't lock, one bedspread torn, air conditioning did not work well. After housekeeping visit one pillow found on floor. One morning at breakfast they had turkey sausages in the warmer which were cold. The coffee station only had non dairy creamers and no milk. I don't know if hotels have security patrols but late one night there were guests talking loudly in the hall for quite a period of time. As we were leaving there was a man at the front desk calling out "is anyone here" three times with no results. No one was at the front desk.

Hotel was nice with a big lobby that seemed newer. The rooms were nice but not as new appearing. Only complaint would be that the rooms ceiling was pretty noisy when people walked above me. I would stay in this hotel again.

Hampton Inn review

Great location for what we needed. Good breakfast and main dish changed every day. Staff was fantastic. Only problem was that the hairdryer set off smoke detectors in our room.

Great stay

The pool was great with kids, the room and beds were comfy. Not a lot of food choices around, we ended up ordering pizza from Marcos.

Nice place but a BIG problem with noise.

Two of the four nights we were there, people in the room above us partied until 2 and 3 AM. Very noisy. Front desk said they tried to fix this, but noise continued. Finally, I spoke with the manager and he assured me that the people over us would not have that room the final night of our stay. We would have left after the first night, but we had a non-refundable, prepayed reservation.

Stale smoke smell

Lobby was lovely. Our room needs updating. We were given a smoking room after requesting a nonsmoking room. We arrived late and were too tired to complain about it. No blackout drapes so the parking lot lights lit up our room all night. We got very little sleep and woke up with a headache.

Close and convenient

Overall we had a good experience;however, in the year since we last stayed here I noticed that things have slipped a little. The fitness center appears to be missing some equipment. There were only a couple of hand weights of diff sizes and only a few other pieces such as weighted medicine balls and 2 cardio machines. Basically, it is nearly impossible to get a complete & adequate workout. The breakfast was pretty good but the same each day. Info claimed there were vending machines on each floor but that was a lie & in a 4 person room there were only 3 sets of towels. These were tolerable issues as overall it was very quiet and I found most of the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. Although I might look around I would be comfortable staying here again, particularly since it is close to downtown & conveniences.
