Iriarte Jauregia is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. And we have stayed in a lot of wonderful and high end hotels over the years. Some of them have bigger facilities or more luxerious rooms, but overall it is difficult to put it in words how beautiful of a place it is. It is surrounded by the most idyllic scenery. The building has character and charm. The food is just superb! Michelin made their recommendation in 2021!
The hotel is located in a very beautiful small town in the mountains. It’s a five star hotel living an experience in the past. Everybody is very friendly and the food is excellent. Breakfast is stunning as you have the opportunity to eat fresh cheese just done by the Farmers in town . An experience just as the one seen on the movies.
Great place with lovely staff and beautiful rooms. Food in Bistro was also good. We really enjoyed our stay. Easy to find on sat-nav and signposted from small village. The ‘main’ restaurant was not open at the start of the week, but we were happy with the bistro. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel was in an amazing location and near enough that you could travel to San Sebastian. The hotel restaurant was also great with food selection of wines. Local town has one cafe/bar you can walk to
Property was beautiful and situated within lush greenery. Great if you want an escape into the mountains. However, my stay was not comfortable as the room I was in (202) had an air conditioning system which was really warm even at 5 degree temperature! Told staff about it and they claimed it was fixed but it was really not. And overall service was polite but felt devoid of warmth.
Wonderful hotel tucked away in the rural mountains. Its located in a remote place in the heart of the beautiful Basque country. We stayed here for 3 nights due the location since San Sebastian and the ocean are only 40min drive away and the countryside with stunning hikes and scenery are pretty much just around the corner.
Rooms are huge, clean and nicely presented. Breakfast is plentiful. We eat in the restaurant on our first evening and the meals are pretty good though.
The only thing which lacks a little is the atmosphere and warmth which we would have loved to see at such small hotel in the countryside.
We booked this hotel for 5 nights and it was fantastic.
Very good breakfast, service and area.
This is an hotel never forgettable.
We booked it for our visit in North Spain and every day we travel to a different place
Select, private.... most important very quiet ... in the middle of the nature.

Nice property in the middle of anything but great place to relax.
Great views.
Nice staff.
Some furniture need renovation y the cleaning team was not great.
In any case the property & entourage are great.
Extraordinary place. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff are very attentive and so hospitable. Very clean and modern bedrooms and bathrooms. The restaurant Bailara should have a Michelin star already. The setting is very relaxing and peaceful. We will definitely return for a longer stay next year.
Excellent one night stop at the Iriarte Jauregia, on a motorcycling trip in the Pais Vasco. The hotel is a renovated 17th century palace - a beautiful building - set in scenic hills in a quiet part of the region. Room and amenities were fine, and the restaurant is excellent - as was breakfast.
Beautifully restored country house in the mountains.very tranquil and with exceptional views.very friendly staff.not much around it but if you want solitude this is the place for you.
