Hotel right in front of waterfall. Great view from restaurant and also from room. Bit humid due to waterfall and waterfall sounds all day. But overall pretty well maintained and jacuzzi with waterfall view is something. ( you need to make reservation for Jacuzzi ahead)

La ubicación es buena y la atención del personal es excelente (es lo que más me gustó). Pero las habitaciones olían a humedad; no nos dieron dos habitaciones juntos a pesar de que lo solicitamos con anticipación varías veces; se escuchaba mucho ruido en una de habitaciones de alguna máquina afuera y no fue posible cerrar bien la ventana. Se ve que trataron de remodelar el hotel pero todavía se vean algunas cosas viejas, grietas, daños.. La comunicación con el hotel es general no es buena - no contestaban pronto ni mensajes en Expedía, ni los teléfonos. Por el precio me pareció que no valía la pena. No creo que algún día regresemos a este hotel.

The Hotel is surrounded by pine trees, a big and awesome waterfall, a river flowing with cristal clear water alon a pathway for joggers or hikers! The staff is super friendly, specially the front desk staff! The place needs a little upgrade

Update Plumbing!
Nice in-door heated pool, but no clean towels to dry off. The wifi in room was about a 1 or 2 out of 10 (when it was working). Rustic and nice atmosphere, however, the plumbing REALLY need update. Both days trying to shower, either the hot water is jon existent OR there is NO WATER coming out. 😒

The property is in a beautiful natural environment. However, the chalet system organized in a hilly complex is treacherous and dangerous for anyone who is elderly and /or with mobility issues. There is poor signage for the rooms so one can get lost easily in the labyrinth of paths in the property . The first red flag was when they may us pay in full in advance- for those of you who travel a lot like we do, you will know that this is not typical hotel practice. There are no phone lines in the room and one needs to use whatsapp, but wifi is spotty and often didn't work in the rooms. We don't have a car and the property is fairly secluded from the town, so we had to rely on taxis to get out. There is a strict scheduling system of the jacuzzi, but when we booked it and arrived at the scheduled time, the tub was empty. Overall the environment is nice but the photos on the website don't accurately represent the experience. The staff was helpful and very nice in general, but they appear to be faced with at times unsurmountable logistical and communication problems.

Check in was ok. There’s no phones in the room. My room was hot and humid. The AC was not working, I reached out to the front desk, they sent a guy to bring me a fan. Had to leave the door open so I can get the air flowing from the hall. The front seat basically just said ok. Wifi was terrible, since they didn’t have phones in the room your only way to communicate is through WhatsApp. Never worked. The only nice thing was the waterfall, other than that I will never stay in this hotel again.

The setting is spectacular but...
The setting is spectacular but the installations and service could use some improvement. The waterfall is a mesmerizing backdrop for meals on the restaurant balcony and from the indoor heated pool. The trail along the river is great for a morning walk. But our room smelled mildewy and the windows could not be opened to air it out. The bellhop did not explain that the room had electric heating (unusual in Mexico) and we were only told about it when we asked for extra blankets. Though breakfast was included with the room and we were given a ticket for it with no explanation -- only once we had finished with the buffet (spectacular!) were we told that the included breakfast was not the buffet but a limited menu and that we would have to pay a difference. After complaining that we had not been informed we did not get charged but it would have been better to know ahead of time.

Great staff, decent food, nice facilities. As a suggestion: it is KEY that they improve on WIFI: the rooms DON'T have phones, and several international travelers (including me) don't have access to data plans in Mexico, so working wifi is key to be able to communicate with staff

The food was average, but over priced. Had no water in the room each of the 3 days. The free hot tub was closed with alternative to use the spa's hot tub for a outrageous price for a short period. Unfortunately, few spoke English which made communication difficult.

El lugar está mejor de lo que esperaba, pero nunca nos informaron que el desayuno que incluía no aplicaba para room service por lo que pagamos por el y tampoco nos aplicaron el descuento en alimentos y bebidas. Además de que la persona que nos llevó el pedido a la habitación no fue nada amable y nos habló con una actitud prepotente. Con eso nos fuimos decepcionados y con un mal sabor de boca. La comida no está muy buena. No nos volveremos a hospedar ahí.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Oscar, the barman at the pool. The hotel site near the waterfall makes it unique. Our room had a it of dust on the couches. I wouldn't recommend the SPA. Overall it was a good experience

I will never book this hotel again
Room is not clean at all! I have to demand shampoo, there is a web spider and my bedsheet is horrible! My double bedroom I have only 1 bottle of water! And restaurants was over expensive according quality of food! I don’t have signal in my room. Oh yeah!! They gave us card for the room access and unfortunately there is not access it’s require a key! The hotel has a great location with an incredible waterfall just outside the main restaurant. The rooms are big, but old, not many extras. Need some updates. Service was kind but they responded slow to many requests.

Jamás había estado en un hotel tan viejo y feo , las habitaciones horribles , el staff del hotel súper grosero , las condiciones de la alberca y los jacuzzis pésimas . La verdad jamás regresaría a este lugar . Es depresivo venir a este tipo de lugares , especialmente si vienes con tu pareja o familia . Nunca en mi vida lo recomendaría

Excelete opción para visitar las Mariposas Monarca
Excelente Ubicación, La habitación 201, fue la que más nos gustó a pesar de ser familiar. Gerardo nos dio un tour para conocer el hotel y se esmeró con mucha paciencia hasta que decidimos en cual hospedarnos. Las instalaciones del SPA están muy bien ambientadas pero lo más importante, muy limpias. El restaurante está frente a la caída de agua, lo que permite disfrutar de unos deliciosos platillos en contacto con la naturaleza. La atención de José es inmejorable.
