Nice hotel close to everything

Very nice hotel. Place was clean, rooms were comfortable and large and staff was pleasant. Would definitely stay again.

Poor Customer Service

I planned to pick up my daughter at KU on May 6th. I made a reservation at this hotel on the evening of May 5th on Hotels.com I selected Marriott because of its good reputation. An error was made during the reservation process and the room was booked for May 5th, not May 6 as I needed. To complicate matters, I lost my wallet earlier in the week and used my wife's credit card. I called the hotel on May 6th to let them know I was arriving around 7pm and they told me that the room was booked for May 5th. Furthermore, I cannot even check in because I did not have a physical credit card in my possession. I explained my circumstances to the assistant gm at hotel, and they said that because I do not have a physical credit card they cannot check me in and I would also be charged for May 5th. I had to drive back to St Louis from Lawrence Ks exhausted all in one day.
