Functional hotel requiring updating

I would strongly recommend for anyone requiring transportation to their hotel from the airport, to call the hotel the moment you land to have them arrange for you to be picked up. I called from the shuttle bus pick up area 15 minutes after landing and was told that it would be 1 hour because of rush hour, but I had to wait for 1 & 1/2 hour ( 1/2 hour longer than what I was told) it wasn't until one of the drivers who came by for the second time and saw me still waiting that he took pity on me and drove me to the hotel in about 15-20 minutes. Brampton is not a popular destination so there are not many shuttles that will go that way.
Check in and out were straight forward, staff were friendly and helpful.
The room I had was okay with, basic amenities, but the carpet was stained and looked like you should keep their shoes on. The room smelled like it had been smoked in heavily at some point and that frebrez had been used to mask it. The cigerette burn marks on the bathroom counter and bathtub support the level of smoking that must have occurred in this room.
The fridge was very loud and could only be turn down, but not off, so the compressor would run not as often.
The room air conditioning/fan was also very loud, had to set the temp to low for a while and then off.
Complementary breakfast available was really sad, but there was a good fruit salad and yoghurt so that was okay. The coffee was not worth the effort of pouring it out and the rest was not in least the appetizingredi
