Everything is awesome

Posted Jan 26, 2016
Pros: Location, room, view, breakfast.
Liked: Location, room, view, breakfast. Friendly staff. Just too bad you have to go outside to get from/to rooms/lobby, in winter, it's cold !!

Nice and clean hotel and convenient

Posted Jan 5, 2016
Pros: Clean.
Cons: Staff.
Location: Capital Reef.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable, however, the staff needs to be friendlier. There is nothing to eat around there. The only restaurant across the street is HORRIBLE.

Great place! Rooms are nice and charming and the mountain view is just gorgeous! Also loved the pizza place across the street (Rim Rock).

Not really a "resort"

Posted Nov 27, 2015
By the name and online promo, we expected a resort. It was not. But the updated room was clean and comfortable, and very convenient to the park. Some staff members were very friendly and helpful, others not so much. We just expected more than was there.

Nice place to rest.

So the hotel was better than it looked from the outside. However the pool was closed for winter. Why can't Expedia tell you this stuff when booking. Beware traveling in this area in the winter. Most stores and restaurants are closed. Also breakfast at the hotel was good but not included in price.

place is not as advertised. Over priced...

Posted Nov 23, 2015
Pros: It was quiet and rooms were ok...
Cons: Service... Needs a restaurant, not just breakfast buffet. Redo the tennis court.
The pictures of their website is very deceiving. Totally over marketed. The pool was closed due to the season. Hot tub was ok. The tennis court is completely run down and not usable and hasn't been for years it looks like. It's NOT a resort by any means. Just a decent motel in a beautiful area. We actually had to ask the front desk to have room service come in. It's not an automatic service as I am used to in other hotels. The room was pretty clean and updated. The bed was also adequate. We would not come back here for that price in an off season.

Very nice

Posted Nov 20, 2015
Pros: Has every amenity - free wifi, refrig, microwave, hair-dryer, very comfortable beds, easily adjustable temperature. Off-season, price is great!
Cons: Breakfast is expensive/not included.
Location: Capitol Reef National Park!! (and for a little drive, many other great Utah parks).
Our visit was in mid November. We used Garmin GPS to "find" the hotel. (CAUTION: Garmin users - through no fault of the hotel, the address of the hotel is marked 10 miles north on Rt 24 beyond the actual hotel location!! Luckily, if you're coming from Torrey, you pass right by the hotel which is very clearly marked. The hotel staff told me on arrival that this a known glitch).
