The room and the hotel were lovely, the only slight issue we had was the positioning of the room, we were in room Sullivan which was above the kitchen, and both mornings we were awoken early by kitchen noise and in the evening the room did smell of a kitchen fryer! Other than that, lovely hotel and room, we were just a little unfortunate with the room position!

I do not like Q . Suggest clients are offered written sheet with details of hotel facitlies, time for meals, spa etc. To have a bath you have to stand to reach the soap. How about a small bar of soap or a lower placed liquid soap. Love the hotel atmosphere, staff and grounds, the extra large bed and very good size room

Good venue with very good service even with 3-4 events happening at the same time. If thinking of using the spa, make sure you book a time slot immediately as it is very popular. Happy to come back again.

Overpriced if staying in a courtyard property. A good 5 minute walk to an outlying Courtyard room. Quite a bland room overall. No bottled water supplied in room. Lack of 3 pin plugs near bed. Tiny TV attached to the wall. Uncomfortable bed, 2 single beds stuck together. Food was ok, not special for the price. Setting was very pretty. Staff very friendly. The main building is impressive but if you’re staying in an outlying building it loses the appeal.

Rooms are depressing.
Grounds, lobby, restaurant and bar are wonderful but the rooms need completely gutting and refurbishing, they are no longer fit for purpose. Beds are comfy but the bathroom fixtures and fittings are falling apart and the room in general is a truely depressing place to be. Unless I got the worst room in the place.

Lovely night away
We had a lovely stay! Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We utilised the pool and sauna whilst there which was fantastic. Again, really straight forward and staff were great. Evening meal was delicious, it’s a little pricy but the quality was excellent. Would happily stay again!

Good but overcrowded spa facilities. Nice quality but expensive food options for what it was. The main issue was the rats. We stayed in room 132 and were woken up constantly throughout the njght by the sound of rats in the ceiling void. Didnt sleep much at all. Informed reception staff in the morning eho offered nothing beyond 'we'll note that'. A disappointing response. I would've expected an pffer of compensation.

Great stay but very busy
Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting. Excellent service and the staff are pleasant, helpful and friendly. The only downside is that the hotel is clearly very popular and as a result very busy. This does mean there are limited time slots for pool use .

Great country getaway, in a very rural area yet easy accessible. Two choices of restaurants on site - be wary however both quite pricey. To be expected given the location! Nice walks also around the hotel grounds. Great stay and would recommend.

Great for a relaxing stay, the staff are lovely. Stayed in a deluxe room, slightly on the small side but comfortable. Breakfast gets busy, quite a bit of choice, however it would be nice to order freshly made items, porridge, smoked salmon scrambled eggs etc... Beautiful grounds and plenty of parking.

Very pleasant get away
We had a lovely time at Tortworth Court. The food was exceptional- staff very friendly throughout- breakfast staff need a bit of direction as was a bit chaotic- all very young so easy fix. Grounds and venue are spectacular the high ceiling are really high ceiling with beautiful artwork on the ceiling and period silk wall papers throughout the ground floor. The atrium and orangery are stunning. As are the grounds. Smart TVs in bedrooms would be a nice upgrade. All in all very pleasant stay

We wanted a quiet relaxing holiday so booked this hotel. From the moment we walked into reception the staff were great,very warm welcome,our room was clean everything we wanted.The swimming pool was fantastic, clean. We can not wait to return,which we will in the near future.

Font of house lovely - Shame about the back
Stayed here a couple of times now. Front of house looks amazing. The outside, gardens, bars, restaurants - all lovely. That said, service is slow when busy in both the library and atrium bar - but thats industry at the moment. The food is good too, so if you're coming to drink/eat - definitely 4* and recommended. What lets this hotel down terribly is back of house and their bedrooms. Its like stepping back in time to a MOTEL from the 80s. The rooms are not comfortable, dont smell fresh/clean and the bathrooms are very green and tired (my shower was leaking from the unit). No where no Devere standards and seriously under-invested. Lets hope they get the same TLC the front has.

Great hotel, poor service Check in - 4pm Arrive early and couldn't get in (this is fine we were aware we were early), told to come back at 4pm Arrived at 4pm to be told room not ready and check in is between 15.00-17.00) and come back in 20 mins, go back and told still not ready Room finally available at 16.45, room was an accessible room but furthest possible location away 2 days in, keys stopped working so had to track all the way to reception to get resolved. Hotel was nice but customer service needs to improve a lot and think about guests with disabilities are affected by their failures Also as well as paying for room they take an additional £50 for every night there to hold (nowhere was this mentioned) this is not returned for 7-10 days after leaving.

The hotel and the surroundings were beautiful.The breakfast was lovely. The location of the bedroom was confusing. The room was lovely but the bathroom needed updating.
