Pros: The friendly approach of staff, it was exceptional in all respects.
Cons: I would be happy to discuss my genuine opinions with an hotel representative ,privately , at a suitable time.
Location: I was visiting under trying circumstances, namely a family bereavement, and was not on holiday as such .
My experience commenced by booking on the net, but when I contacted reception by telephone, I was presently surprised at the courteous professionalism, and "do any thing to help attitude " of the staff member that took my call.This was followed on arrival by the same attitude of all staff encountered.

Misleading room details, paper thin walls

Good location, mislead by what to expect with 'supior room'. Constant plumping and thin walls. Friendly and accomodating staff, welcoming venue, resort feel.

Townsvilles answer to a Fijian resort

The stay was pleasant with friendly attentive staff and the restaurant food was very good. The rooms were clean and comfortable but I feel they need a makeover I would certainly stay here again.

Leaking shower

We spend one night at the Mercure hotel and during the night the shower start to leak and make a lot of noise and we couldn't stop it. When we enter into the bathroom it was wet everywhere because of the steam. Awful night! When I explained it at check out to one of the staff member her answer was "ok don't worry we will fix it". I wanted to say to her: I don't care now that I'm leaving! Really disappointing.

it was a sporting weekend for a team away and the facilities were great, however, some members reported paper thin walls for noise of TV next to them & restaurant took too long to bring out food.

Room was very small and old. Rust on refrigerator. Toilet door swings into legs if some using toilet. Swimming pool and restaurant was fantastic..

Rabbitohs choice

Was fantastic to walk in and see all the Rabbitohs balloons up. Kids loved the pool. And perfect location to go everywhere.

Great place to stopover

Stayed one night with kids 14 and 11 pool was great and food excellent at the restaurant. Loved the geese and the lake view.
