convenient but old and tired

Pros: its location
Cons: refurbish the rooms
The overall impression of the room (101) was extremely disappointing "Yuck" springs to mind. As an example, the bathroom shower consisted of tiled area and a shower curtain suspended from the ceiling. I was relieved that I was only staying there for just the one night and it was a welcome break from driving. I will however as a frequent visitor to Townsville, try and avoid staying at this hotel until they refurbish the rooms to a more acceptable standard.

average hotel , good location. Clean.

Pros: good internet, location.
Cons: Design of the hotel , generally. Make it more appealing.
Location: the strand and good coffee.
In town for a family 70th birthday. Location was great, but the hotel itself was average next to the standard of other rydges hotels. Nothing bad, just, average.

I stayed three night. The room wasn't vacuumed at all and very dusty and the carpet was very smelly. I found lots of rubbish on the hall way and it had been there while my stay they didn't clean it. The staffs are very nice and the breakfast was great. They need to do proper cleaning .

air conditioning not cool enough very hot late in day but outside hot and humid

Could be better

Room was dated, cracked and broken tiles in the shower. Noisy airconditioning, mattress on bed old and lumpy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice location, but Hotel getting a bit dated

Pros: Location, free parking and Restaurant.
Cons: Room maintenance, such as dripping taps and replace the glass fronted mini bar fridges.
Location: Near the Marina and other Restaurants and Bars. Close to centre of Town.
Great staff on Reception and in Restaurant. Food very good. This Hotel let down by dated rooms. Very noisy bar fridge which couldn't be turned off. Both Shower & Vanity taps dripped constantly and flow from shower was very weak, that it took twice as long to shower and you didn't actually save any water. No Foxtel on TV, only free to air channels.
