Hotel Cala Marina seemed practically new when we visited in November 2023. The staff were the most fluent in English of the six Boutique hotels we stayed in throughout Sicily. The food service staff was outstanding. Parking was the easiest of our six hotels as well.

Lovely small hotel right on the port
Hotel is a lovely small establishment on the port. It has recently been renovated in typical Sicilian style. The staff are friendly, informative and efficient. Lovely breakfast which the lady cook prepared with pride every morning. This is just a bed and breakfast hotel where you can also get a drink. It does not do lunches and dinner. However you are right on the port with plenty of options for eating, pleas do note that Hotels.com’s description of this hotel is completely incorrect- they say there bars, a swim up bar, restaurants etc. this is not the case if that is what you are looking for. The photos on the site are however correct! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again.

A charming hotel in a beautiful fishing village. A delicious breakfast is served on a deck right on the marina. Many restaurants with many choices to experience the Sicilian cuisine. Pistachio pasta is a must! Thank you Gabriella for suggesting a drive to San Vito lo Capo. One of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily. Endless white sandy beach with crystal clear water. Don’t miss this !!

We love this village! We were sorry that they did not have more days for us to stay in the hotel.We wouldhave rearranged our trip is they had more days..We loved walking back and forth in the village, all of the restaurants that we tried. in the morning, the arranged for a car to take us to a nearby beach. Again, it was so delightful that we would have rearranged our trip if they had more days for us to enjoy the beach. Thinking of rearranging our trip is very unusual for us.We plan our trips carefully before we leave, but we fell in love with this village and area. Granted, it was after ten days of active touring.We did love Sicily. If we ever go back to Sicily, we would book several days At teh Hotel Cala Marina before we book anything else.

Great position
Great friendly hotel overlooking the harbour. The staff are really helpful and helped us arrange boat hire etc but it was equally possible to do it yourself. If you want to go to the beach they will arrange transport and sun bed hire for 10 Euros but may be more in season Breakfast can be taken over the road on the terrace which was lovely. The rooms are typical of a three star hotel the bathrooms a bit dated but perfectly adequate. Nice variety at breakfast. Ideally situated at the end of the Marina away from noised but still very central for the restaurants and little shops.

Fantastic location and view
The staff was very helpful warm and friendly. Location was perfect....beautiful and scenic. Room was small but cozy with a balcony with a partial view of the harbor.

Sweet hotel on the harbour with amazing staff
We received the loveliest welcome upon our arrival after a long travel day. Claudia was so helpful and informative. She speaks at least 4 or 5 languages and is totally charming. She helped guide us through parking the car and info on local restaurants etc. She helped carry our (many) bags to the room and left us with a welcome drink. The breakfast was perfect. Again - the service was outstanding. Our room was spacious and very clean. We had a sweet little balcony with a view of the harbour. The air conditioning worked well and the room was quiet. The bed was slightly firm for our preferences, but we still had an excellent sleep.

Nice hotel
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice location. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the port. This was very nice during the day but with some drawbacks at night... don't expect to have the windows open at night because there is the smell of fish cooking from the restaurant next door and, whilst the port is sleepy during the week, at weekends there is throbbing music until the early hours of the morning from the bars across the quay which resonates on the water. Parking on wasteland immediately opposite the hotel for free (hotel registers you for ZTL) was a benefit - not worth paying the fee to park on the tiny bit of hotel's own land. All in all highly recommended for a stay during the week - personally would avoid Fri/Sat/Sun (Sunday is when world and his wife descends on the port). Comments about the wonderful breakfasts are overdone...frankly all a bit odd; OK if you like chocolate cake and cold fried eggs.. but again excellently cheerful and friendly staff. Wifi was consistently good. Be aware if you are a bit infirm that it is a fair climb up steps into the main bit of town.

Thanks for your review. Important information for other guests who read. The restaurant next door has had a chimney fault these days, but it has already been resolved. Sorry to read that immediately points out to momentary things. On breakfast, we remind you that ours is a three-star hotel and yet we try to offer many small dishes always included in the rate. cannoli, cassatelle, bruschetta, omelettes, bread cunzatu etc. etc. etc. is not obvious, perhaps we are exaggerating. We continually lay eggs, if unfortunately they become lukewarm we can not throw them away, but we can heat them without problems, just ask. Our location is chosen by our guests precisely because in the heart of the historic center, full of restaurants and clubs and destination for many visitors. You had an extremely light sleep problem. I recommend a farmhouse surrounded by nature outside the town, perhaps in the countryside.

Great hotel, right by the water. The staff was all great and extremely nice. The breakfast in the morning was perfect, with so manu options! The bed was very the comfy and the room was perfect and very pretty with the color and flowers. Would definitely come back!

Simple hotel at the end of the harbor. You can park for free on a small unpaved road just past the hotel. The staff was very friendly. The harbor area is lively at night but the hotel was quiet. Not fancy but fine.

Love this hotel!

Quiet Boutique Hotel located sea side
This small hotel is located sea side adjacent to the marina and promenade in Castellammare del Golfo. It is a short (45 minute) drive from the Palmero Airport. The quiet, comfortable rooms are well appointed, with reliable working internet and satellite television. Modern in room air conditioning/heating is provided. The room I stayed in had a balcony and view of the marina, promenade and castle. The staff at this hotel was excellent - Claudia and Alberto met me upon arrival, helped with my luggage and provided a tour of the hotel and room. They also offered advice respecting what restaurants and shops were open for this slightly out of tourist (first week of November) season stay. The breakfast here was excellent (in fact the best breakfast selection during my 8 day stay in Sicily)...the offerings were diverse and plentiful and it was very nice to be able to enjoy breakfast either in the lobby level eating area or outside on the terrace proximal to the sea with a cappuccino in hand! The restaurants off the promenade provided wonderful fish meals but it is worth exploring the pedestrian streets and piazza up the hill away from the sea side.

A beautiful harbor view and a comfortable bed
The harbor is beautiful and the old town nice. I especially enjoyed the pedestrian oriented streets and night views. There is a town beach nearby and the hotel runs a shuttle to it's own beach a kilometre or so away. Our room was quiet and had a balcony we could sit on and see the harbor. Breakfast had a large selection of sweet and savory items to choose from. We enjoyed our stay.

Home run, your will hit the ball out of the park.
We had a pleasant stay in the annex building 300 meters from the hotel. Luggage could be arranged to be brought to you, so you do not have to carry yourself up stairs and steep roads. The annex is brand new; only issue was the air conditioning not strong enough to stop and start.If you remove your key the A/C will not work while you are away, and on a hot day it is not strong enough to start when you come back at night. The hotel was nice and left the maid key in the slot for us, so our room was very comfortable at night. Other issue is parking is very limited so you need to jockey your car in and out of spaces in the garage. You may need to leave your key with the front desk to have them move your car around the garage. The hotel wants to fit as many cars as possible in a limited space. Trust me they get 4 cars in a spot where 2 should go.More parking is needed. Otherwise this hotel is a home run. You will hit the ball out of the park with this one. Staff is very courteous and pleasant.

On the beach, fabulous view, perfect location!
Fabulous hotel! Staff was beyond helpful with everything from transfers to tours to restaurants!! Simone was fabulous!! Gabriella was also wonderful!! Make sure you eat at Emporium & go to Peter Pan Beach Center - day & niteclub! The breakfast at Cala Marina is amazing!! We will be back next summer!!!

The location was great but the rooms are a bit of a disappointment. Most do not have a view of the water and there is no elevator, but there are only 2 floors. They are vigilant on their lighting scheme so it is hot and stuffy at first.

Tranquil setting right on the shore. Beautiful.
The rooms were adequate, clean roomy. The best part was the location on the water and the quiet setting with great views of the old city. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Lovely friendly hotel on the harbour
The hotel itself is the end building on a pretty harbour front facing a medieval skyline ending on the seaward side with the castle. The harbour front is busy in the evening as restaurants fill up and in the season the harbour road is cut off from 8pm so if you arrive after - park on the road behind (free) and walk down the ramp. Driving first time through the medieval streets after dark is a bit unnerving but the hotel is the furthest building west so its actually easy to find. We were in the Badia Dependance - a street annexe building up a steep hill in the old town. Not good for anyone with mobility problems but great for us as it guaranteed quiet. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Hotels nearer to the square the other side of town probably do have a noise problem. Hotel offers paid parking down a steep ramp underneath but we found no need. Streets are narrow - if you are hiring a car keep it small!

Well located hotel by the water
We stayed here for 2 nights; the hotel has 2 locations so if you choose to stay, try to stay at the main one on the beach. The other one has large rooms but older and there is no staff on site. The people at the desk were super nice and helpful. We stayed one night at each location.
