Wonderful Hotel with a Fantastic Concierge
5 star service and accommodations. Amazing grounds. Wonderful SPA!!! The thermal massage is a must do. It was very hard to get in. Book in advance when you make your reservation. The bikes were horrible, but I think they are waiting for new ones. The concierge was the best we have ever encountered. He gave us an amazing tour of Chavis and provided access to one of the best vineyards we have ever visited. Wonderful service. Breakfast was very good. We ate at both Restaurants and were disappointed with the meals. We did not do the taster menu in the ballroom but did have the duck and veal and would not order them again. The Lobster/ avocado dish was amazing. We would go back to this hotel.

A short but very pleasant stay
Everything inside and outside the hotel is meticulously cared with pride and love. The inside is sumptuous and shiny, the exterior gardens are calm, fresh and peaceful. The less atractive thing is the price, but tis in in fact a real 5-star hotel..

An incredible hidden treasure in Northern Portugal. We stayed with a tennis group and couldn't have been happier with the service, accommodations, quality of food, and spa services.

Fabulous relaxing break in beautiful surroundings
Fantastic stay in a beautiful 5* hotel. Staff extremely friendly, room was spacious and tastefully furnished. Victorian style bathroom with tub and beautiful tiling. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. Food in the restaurant was delicious and the hotel bar prepare winning cocktails which you can enjoy on the terrace. Great indoor and outdoor pool, spa and treatments on offer and glorious grounds to explore. Only negatives - indoor pool was slightly cooler than desired but we had it all to ourselves and you quickly warm up. Local town is extremely quiet so you definitely need a car to access other nearby towns if you want to explore.

Great Hotel, amazing staff! Ultimate luxury.
I loved my stay at the Vidago Palace Hotel. Although we only spent one night, my wife and I enjoyed the pool and park grounds. The next morning was also amazing. Mario helped us during our breakfast and he was phenomenal. Wish we had stayed longer. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for ultimate luxury treatment and great staff. Looking forward to my next stay.

best hotel in Portugal
I can't say enough about how wonderful this hotel is. Everything people say about it is true. We had a wonderful stay there only wish we could stay longer but it's fully booked during high season. We only got one night. The thermal water is amazing.

Es fehlte einen Kessel, um Tee/ Kaffee zu kochen Ein Teil des Vorhangs war loose Seife und Shampoo waren zu wenig für 2 Leute Die Bade - und Handtücher sind täglich - an einem Tag sogar 2x - und die Betttücher gewechselt worden, was nicht nötig war.

Bueno, pero irregular servicio.
Hotel precioso y bien situado en el pueblo (que es lo único que merece la pena de este, por cierto). Muy buenas amenities. El desayuno es bastante bueno, pero lo mejor es el restaurante del hotel, donde cenamos: el bacalao con garbanzos y el solomillo, buenísimos. Solo falló el servicio de recepción, que no nos dejó hacer el checkin ni dejar las maletas en el hotel cuando llegamos demasiado pronto. No pedíamos ocupar la habitación, sino solo descargar el equipaje, pero no hubo manera. Muy mal.

Um lugar a repetir.
O projeto arquitetônico e paisagístico é lindíssima. Um lugar fantástico para relaxar e desfrutar, com muita tranquilidade. A única observação diz respeito ao mal estado de manutenção e conservação dos jardins, dos lagos, do campo de golf, e de toda a vegetação no entorno do prédio do hotel (dentro do complexo). Penso que é consequência do encerramento do hotel, durante o período crítico da pandemia COVID-19. Isso poderia explicar; mas, não pode justificar.
