We spent two nights in a business-class room (the room type that offers air conditioning at this property). The shower in the first room did not drain at all, and instead flooded the entire bathroom--something that we discovered at 8p in the evening. It took the front desk staff over an hour and a half to "find another room that could accommodate us for both evenings of the stay", something that seems odd, given that their vacancy rate on the evening in question was over fifty percent. The lack of maintenance personnel on-site was surprising to us for a hotel of its size, and the lack of prompt or effective service was highly disappointing.
The bar staff was highly discourteous and refused to provide drink service during operating hours (5:30p).
The property is also older, and in need of some upgrades in the common area. Additionally, it is rather distant from the "tourist" area, such as there is, in Linz, and is instead located next to two shipyards. We would not recommend the hotel for a pleasure (tourist stay), or business stay--there are many locations much closer to the city center, and with better business facilities.
