“They consider themselves as luxury but they are really not. There were mice droppings ALL OVER the outside of the room in the hallways. Mice droppings in the staircase corners. They have an infestation!!! Also everything is made pretty cheap (furniture, decor, etc). The staff was overwhelmed with the occupancy the week we were there. Would not come back. Hector at the pool and beach was great!! And the lady that did the margarita class was awesome!”

“We spent 7 nights here over Easter and really enjoyed our stay. The bedroom for 4 people was spacious and clean with a stocked mini bar. (We were 2 adults, 2 teens) The choice of restaurants is good, with a buffet restaurant , Italian - Porto Bella, Hacienda Grill, pizza, and Mexican choices, but our favourite was Kotori, the Asian option. “The Fairmont Mayakoba is the best resort that I've ever been to. The vibe of the resort is peaceful and relaxing. The staff were incredibly helpful before I even arrived, helping me reserve dinners at the restaurants, my excursions and my spa appointment. They remained attentive throughout my stay. “Our Villa was not on the beach but it was spectacular. With a private pool and jacuzzi. It was family-friendly. Many activities for the kids. Bicycles were given to each family member. The beach area is amazing. It has a great restaurant and a nice pool. The restaurants at the hotel and at the other Mayakoba hotels are very good. The best part is the staff. They accommodate and coordinate everything you want. Our personal concierge Madai was GREAT! ”
