Pros: Not one single thing.
Cons: Tear it down and just rebuild the darn thing.
Location: The only good thing about this hotel is that is very close to the speedway, but trust me that's it!
Well where do I even begin, I attended the Battle at Bristol this past weekend and I had chosen to stay at this awful hotel simply because it was the only left available. I looked up the reviews and images of this hotel online before the trip, and thought it would be okay to stay in for just two nights. WELL I WAS WRONG, DON'T TRUST the images that are online of this hotel they are VERY deceiving. First off there are signs that are posted throughout the hotel that say it is a "smoke free" hotel, but as soon as my fiance' and myself started to walk up to our room we both said it was starting to smell an awful lot like someone had been smoking in there. When we opened our hotel room, avoid room 306 at ALL COST, it felt like we were being hit in the face with a wall of cigarette smoke. The walls are yellow from all of the smoking! Thank GOD the window in our room could be opened so we could at least air it out, even then the smell wasn't gone. My entire suite case and clothes still smells like cigarettes. When we started to put our things away we opened one of the drawers and there was a pair of DIRTY STAINED men's underwear and a pair of pants! Then our toilet started to overflow, so we asked for a plunger, but guess what?! Apparently there wasn't a SINGLE plunger in the ENTIRE hotel, how crazy is that?! The towels have stains all over them, and they are EXTREMELY rough and smell like cigarettes as well! My fiance' and I left that place as quickly as we possibly could!

Never again

Booked here for a 4 night stay while dropping my daughter off at college. Never again! The good: well, it WAS cheap; it WAS easy enough to find off the highway; the staff WAS helpful and friendly the couple of times I interacted with them; the room was NOT a complete cess pool; that's about it. The bad: being in the building--even in the nonsmoking room I requested--was like being ACTUALLY INSIDE A CIGARETTE (OMG, so bad). Could not BELIEVE there was no elevator. We were on the 3rd floor, of course, and we had to enter the rear door from the parking lot, go DOWN about 5-6 stairs, then UP 6 flights of stairs to get to our room (all with the multiple heavy bags we needed for a year at college. yay). And the worst: I DID NOT FEEL SAFE. AT ALL. Back door to the hotel was supposed to be keyed-entry with your room key, but it did not lock at all, so anybody could just walk in. Every night there were a collection of guys hanging out around that door--don't know if they were selling or what, but it didn't feel safe to me as a woman traveling alone with her daughter, especially since that door didn't lock and we were on the "quiet" side of the hotel with six flights of stairs to go before we got to our room. Also, on our first night I awoke at 3am to the sound of men literally FIGHTING and yelling obscenities in our hallway. Only happened that one night, so I assume those people checked. In a nutshell: I'll be staying ANYwhere but here on future visits to the area! Just awful!

Reserved a non-smoking room; received a smoking (smelly) room. Floor had soft spots, due to apparent previous ceiling/roof leaking. Was not told ahead of time we (2 adults) were only permitted 2 towels for a 2 nights stay.

Pros: Price, friendly staff, microwave and fridge in room.
Cons: Furniture was getting pretty worn.
I needed to stay for work. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The furniture was worn but functional. Rooms had been painted and recently.

Pros: Staff friendliness and willingness to help make my stay convenient and pleasant.
Cons: The mattress!
I needed a last minute hotel as a family member had been admitted to the nearby hospital and I was from out of town. I arrived late in the evening. The attendant was warm and friendly and offered to switch me to a room downstairs with close proximity to the exit should I need to run back to the hospital during the night (there is no elevator). The room happened to be handicap accessible so it was quite spacious. Everything was very clean- decor was minimal and there is nothing particularly fancy, but my room did have a microwave and a refrigerator. My only complaint was the mattress- I am an avid tent camper and am accustomed to sleeping on the ground but the bed was quite hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were quite nice though! Breakfast offered the following morning consisted of cereal, a few different pastry items, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and bread for toasting. For a one night stay and the rate offered, I was very satisfied and would absolutely recommend to others.

Not what we expect of a Super 8

The staff was friendly but the motel wasn't quite user friendly. Our bathroom had a very short toilet, and a tub shower floor that was very sloped to the center making it difficult to stand. Weird! The breakfast, using the term very loosely, room felt like a utility room. Two cold cerals, bananas, bread and cold waffles you could toast, reg coffee, oj, and a pitcher of milk. We were the only two in there, wonder why? We won't go back. We've had good experiences at Super 8 in the past but were very disappointed this time.
