Watch out for this place!!

I paid for my room a week before my stay. I should have known when I had to stand at the check in counter for 10 minutes for somebody to check me in, that it wasn’t going to be a good experience. I left the next morning, and 3 days later I was notified by my bank that this hotel took $500 from my account!!! When I called the hotel to find out why, they said it was because I smoked in a nonsmoking room! I’m a non smoker and have NEVER smoked!!! The manager didn’t care what I said! He stuck to the lie that me and/or my teenage daughter smoked in the room! Now think about this....why would I book a room at a hotel that’s no smoking, when there’s PLENTY of hotels that allow smoking!!! I chose a nonsmoking room purposely!!!! The hotel was a run down dump, not even an upscale fancy hotel! They’re thieves!!! Stay there if you don’t care about cleanliness, or good service, but be careful what credit card or debit card (in my case) that you use! He took my debit card information from Expedia and used it without my permission. Fraudulent!!! BEWARE!!

Ms Clarkson, you smoked in your rooms and that is why you were charged the penalty. Cigarette ash was found on the night stand and carpet and your room smelled of cigarette smoke upon departure. You did not mention your dissatisfaction of our Hotel or your room until you were charged the smoking penalty!

False advertising

I booked This hotel on the strength of its location due to a family event. I traveled with my husband and 3 kids. The pictures show no comparison to the actual look of the facility. The parking lot is raggedy and the facility needs updating. We had to switch rooms after arriving back after midnight. The heat was not working nor was the tv. After switching rooms we finally got adjusted and went to sleep. The breakfast was ok. The staff was friendly, but I'd never book a room here again. I will never judge solely off of reviews again. Lesson learned.

Bare Minimum with Above Market Price

Pros: This is like asking me, "Hiow would you prefer to die, by fire or water"? I liked nothing about this hotel.
Cons: The aging facility needs major updating, from exterior lighting, to parking lot resurfacing, to ekectrical wiring, to room security. So disappointing
Location: Remote, difficult-to-find site with no other commercial buildings nearby. A true "Bates Motel."
This property is incredibly difficult to find, even with GPS, especially at night. It is on a side street near a major intersection wit poor signage. The facility needs serious updating. In its current state,it looks like a movie set from the 1960's. The front door was locked when I arrived at 11:45 pm and had to be opened manually by the clerk behind the desk. The room was very dated and, I believe, unsafe: The wiring was so old that the plugs to my appliances consistently fell out of the outlets. The deadlock on the room door did not work, so I felt very unsafe the entire night. When I went to check out at 6:15 AM, the desk clerk was absent. There was a sign on the desk asking customers to be patient, that he was checking on the rooms. I left the key on the desk and left. And for this, I paid $79! A true ripoff. Never again. Please do not recommend this place to other travelers. I am now leery of any hotel with the "Ramada" name.

Close to sites I wanted to see, access to I-95

Pros: Location, close to Marine Corps Base Quantico, National Museum of the Marine Corps and easy access to I-95.
Cons: Easier directions to hotel. I had trouble finding Inn street off of Joplin road.
Location: Easy access to I-95 to go to Washington D.C. Annapolis, Maryland and Arlington National Cemetery.
Very comfortable room, free breakfast and access to computer / internet is a very nice, staff was very helpful.

Convenience

Real close to a lot of attractions and restaurants! Only 30-45 min drive to DC ! The rooms need a little work on doors, not properly sealed and hard to shut ! Too much light coming through at night thru door seal !! Overall it was nice and will come back again soon !!
