Very good stay. 4.8/5 stars. Would highly highly recommend. You will not get a better stay anywhere else at this price. The hotel is actually an enormous apartment with many rooms within, and common facilities. Everything is very clean, regularly maintained, and the landlords clearly care about the quality. They do an excellent job keeping everything in order, and are helpful. Only reason it is not 5/5 is minor inconveniences with the building, not because of the hotel accommodations. E.g., door into building can be hard to open, lights do not turn on automatically in the halls (so at night it is PITCH black. You need a phone or flashlight). Again, not the fault of the landlords, but worth considering if you are an anxious traveler. Overall, great work. Would stay again.

Listing clearly stated washer/dryer in unit…wasn’t but they could “help me out” by doing for 10euro a load for me. Location pretty quiet, but owners yelling and talking loudly all of the time…place really needed updating, sheets, towels seemed clean but really worn

Once you get past the unusual warehouse entrance and steel cage elevator, this hotel was a nice place to stay for a night. The room and shared bathrooms were clean and the property was quiet.

Eccentric but charming
Such a charming place. Yes its old and a little eccentric but that adds to the stay. Lift is awesome even if a little scary. No aircon in our room and it was over 30c but there was a fan which really helped

Don't stay here, waste of money!
I had such trouble even finding this property, it's on the 3rd floor of a building, I walked around in the rain for 20 minutes looking for it whilst being on the road because there is no clear sign! I tried to call the number but there wasn't an answer. The only reason I even got in was because someone was coming out. Theres a small old lift in the centre which did help. When I finally arrived I was given the wrong room (I booked a double room) but I was given a room big enough for 6 people! It made me feel like someone was going to come in during the night. The bed sheets were horrible and felt dirty, I had to sleep on top of them. No ensuite, it's a shared bathroom outside your room! And the lady gave me keys that didn't work! In the morning I wanted to check out around 8:30 (which is a reasonable time) no one was at the desk so I just had to leave the keys and hope for the best. Also it's advertised as a B&B on the door of the property but there was no breakfast. Honestly the worst night my entire trip and I was away for a month. I woke up covered in bites and with back pain. NEVER staying there again!

Not so bad!
Not the easiest place to find even if you are on the same street, and if you do find the building then you have to find the floor! The staff were friendly and the rooms were okay, 3 shared bathrooms which were okay and I'm not a fan of shared bathroom. Ideal location for the train/bus station. Would probably look for something better next time if possible but it did the job for one night!

Okay for one night
The hotel is quite old but our room was large with no fan but had an air conditioner that you must pay more to use. Wifi was good. Access to the Central bus and train stations is good. Although we were given keys to our room and the entry door on the Main Street, our door lock would work but the door could be effortlessly pulled open as there was no pillar for the second half of the door. Our items and personal security were therefore quite vulnerable. Other rooms may be okay. There were three separate toilet/shower areas nearby so that was fine. The bed was quite comfortable although my wife found it a bit hard. Clean linen and towels were provided. The hotel is not manned all the time so I recommend contacting the hotel to arrange a mutually convenient time for check-in otherwise you could find access difficult and frustrating. The hotel does not have a prominent sign outside but there is a smallish plaque visible on the external wall in daylight.

Clean with great location
This room was a good for fit for me. It had a great location and was clean. The room was big and i could open the window for fresh air. The staff were lovely. On the downside the lift was tiny and i only just managed to put my road bike in.

worst hotel.com experience ever ever ever
After arriving at the hotel and been let through the door down stairs by someone leaving the gym which is in the same building I found that there was no one there. After climbing 5 flights of stairs with my case I became annoyed that no one answered either of the hotel phone numbers. I then had to wander the streets at 11pm to find a hotel. I have never before been to hotel that has no one manning it or answers atleast one of there phones.

Interesting hotel with great location
The Alla Stazione was an interesting little place in Trieste, Italy. We had a little bit of difficulty finding the main door to the hotel because it is not very well labeled. It was only a very short distance from the bus/train station and we were able to walk with our suitcases and backpacks with no problems. The weirdest thing about the hotel was how to get in. The hotel is actually a part of an apartment complex, so we had no way of entering the main door until someone else came out and then we just guessed which floor the hotel was on until we found the right now. Once inside the staff was very helpful and everything was very clean. The six rooms all share three bathrooms, but we had no problems with waiting to use them. All the facilities were very clean and well-maintained. We had a great stay here and this a great hotel for people looking for something a little different than the classic stay!

Struttura valida e prezzo adeguato, posizione strategica in stabile storico e personale disponibile per organizzare il (molto veloce) check-in. Pulizia superficiale ottima, ma in generale poca cura dei dettagli (da rivedere i filtri dei rubinetti ad esempio). Camera ampia e letto comodo. Nel complesso, buon soggiorno. Lo consiglio ai non pretenziosi.

Il soggiorno è purtroppo cominciato male. Giunti a Trieste il responsabile ci ha contattato per avvisarci che la camera era pronta. Ho chiesto al proprietario del parcheggio e mi ha detto che una volta giunto in albergo mi avrebbe indicato dove parcheggiare l'auto, senza avvisarmi che la sua struttura era in zona a traffico limitato. Giungendo dalla Slovenia purtroppo i cartelli di avviso della ZTL risultavano mal posti e completamente invisibili quindi ho preso una multa rilevante che ha inficiato il risparmio fatto scegliendo un affittacamere con bagno in comune invece di un albergo di livello superiore.

This is not a hotel but a private appartement in the 3rd floor of a building, close to the train station, with 3 public bathrooms and 6-7 rooms! Main key for entrance to the building not working propperly, so you hope- after fidling around for a couple of minutes, not to have spend the night outside! Expedia should not market it as a hotel and charge hotel prices for it!!!!!

Questo affittacamere si trova nella zona della stazione (il nome appunto) quindi vicina al centro. Si tratta di un affittacamere in un palazzo storico , quindi la struttura non é per ovvi motivi nuovissima ,i servizi sono in comune . Tutto comunque pulito e ordinato, per dormire una notte o due va più che bene. Personale cortese e disponibile

Buon giorno! Per fare cosi bassa valutazione ci vuole una spiegazione. Camera tripla ad uso doppia, pulita, calda a prezzo 30 euro/notte? Se vi abbiamo avvisato alle 11.30 che check-out alle 11.00 e vi siete arrabbiati ingiustamente non è giusta causa di vostra valutazione. Se c,e qualche altro motivo lo vorremmo sapere. Non siamo stati registrati e non c’era una camera libera. Non c’era il gestore al nostro arrivo, stava cenando. Abbiamo dovuto cercare un altro hotel alle 19.00. Il gestore non era per niente disponibile e gentile. Grande delusione e mai più alla struttura alberghiera Alla Stazione.

Buona sera! No lo so chi è lei. Ma se non avevate la prenotazione, non dovevamo tenere la camera libera per lei e se avevate bisogno di camera dovevate cercare in altro posto che penso e chiaro. Perche dovevate essere registrate se non avevate la prenotazione? Se struttura e completa, gestore non deve dare disponibilità che non c,e Se non ha soggiornato preso di noi non pour fare giudizi. Grande delusione , che le cose descritte da lei non coincidono con fatti. Un poco di rispetto per le regole alberghiere. Se invece avevate la prenotazione, mostratemi. Che delusione...

Check in wasn't smooth
The check in wasn't smooth because apparently they didn't have our booking and instead of apologizing the man wanted to see how much we've paid and wouldn't listen to us and talked over us. All worked out in the end but he was rude and we didn't get the room we paid for. Be paid for a four bed room and got two "double rooms" instead, because again, they didn't have our reservation. All in all it was fine and it worked out in the end but the man was very rude about it in the beginning.
