Nice and comfortable

Posted Jan 2, 2016
Pros: Friendly staff. Nice fireplace room in the loony area.
Cons: Temperature in the rooms, bit too hot and not easy to regulate.
Location: Meteora monasteries. Pertouli Ski resort. City of Trikala. Lots of taverns with local meat dishes.
Very nice hotel. Exactly as described in the website. Near Meteora and the ski resort of Pertouli. Beautiful fireplace room in the lobby ( for smokers ). Comfortable beds and friendly staff.

Great family hotel

Posted Dec 31, 2015
Stayed here for our visit to Meteora, the hotel is great for family with kid as there is plenty of space for them to roam around, and the hotel also got playroom for kids! Location is not exactly in Kalambaka so better for someone with car or prepared to hire taxi.

Value for money

Posted Nov 5, 2015
Pros: Facilities and service. The room is very spacious and clean.
Excellent service, facilities and food. The hotel staffs are very helpful and polite. The location is quite far (around 5km) from Kalambaka train station and city center. If you don't drive, you need to arrange taxi in advance. However, this could be a good thing as the hotel is more quite and safe.

All good, but...

Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: Big garden, big room, everything is big, space for body, space for soul!
Cons: Shuttle bus to town and real Greek food.
Location: Too far out of town, nothing to do near by other than a cave, MUST VISIT THAT CAVE! Even visiting the cave, you'll need a taxi ride!
Lovely hotel, too far out of town, breakfast and dinner were not so good, I'll only give 3 stars on these! Beautiful hotel, lovely ground, wonderful swimming pool even at the end of season! All 5 star stuff! Yes, if you want a 'let it go' holiday and recharge, this is it!

Cons: AC unit
nice boutiquey hotel overall, clean and comfortable. the AC unit was very ineffective which means it was very hot at night. not a walk to kalambaka downtown so have to drive to restaurants.

SACRED PLACE WITH BEAUTIFUL HOTEL

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Perhaps better directions or an earlier warning that the hotel is right off the main road.
Location: The lovely town of Kalambaka, the monasteries of Meteora and the pre-historic caves of Theopetra.
We arrived in the Meteora area of Greece which is breath-taking in itself. The hotel facility came up suddenly and we made a sharp turn to enter, there were entrance signs well in advance but to enter the facility it is quite a sudden turn. Parking was close and plentiful. The hotel itself is exquisite in a quiet beautiful setting. Staff was very solicitous and polite. Our room was beutiful and had complimentary fruit and wine from the manager. The room is clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful as was dinner the night before. We paid a nominal fee for dinner but breakfast was included in the cost of the hotel. The hostess at the front desk booked our tour to the monasteries of Meteora, a half-day trip that was well worth the cost. Excellent guides and also a tour of the Theopetra caves. Not to be missed. The hotel allowed us to check out late because of the half day tour. The property is beautifully landscaped and has a seasonal pool. Snack bar inside and full bar available.Furnishings thruout the hotel echo the sacredness of the monastery area, icons and ancient statuary. Another beautiful Amalia property, so peaceful and serene.

Well located near the town, very comfortable stay

Overall very happy with our stay, the hotel was clean, spacious and calm. The evening surprise of wine and fruit was definitely unexpected but appreciated. The staff was courteous and helpful. A nice experience to regain strength for the next day of walking.
