Bon séjour à Kastraki Hotel. Chambres spacieuses, avec un wifi de qualité. Petit déjeuner énorme. A proximité d'excellents resto et des monastères, à recommander.

Wonderful oasis amidst immense beauty!

Pros: Big enough for sitting areas and breakfast, but small enough to feel intimate. The staff knew us pretty quickly.
Cons: Can't think of anything, except being careful to describe the rooms accurately. We requested and got a Meteora view" room and it there was no view.
Location: Close enough to town to be accessible, but much quieter and easier to park then the city centre. Amazing views!
My husband and I are living in Greece for 3 months and chose to go to Meteora for Greek Easter. We traveled with 5 friends, caravaning in 2 cars. I wanted a hotel that was reasonably priced, pleasant to re-group in after a day of exploring, and comfortable rooms. Hotel Kastraki fit all these criteria. Two of our friends stayed in a guesthouse nearby because our hotel was full, and had a very pleasant experience and paid significantly less, but it did not include breakfast and there was no place to visit in the evening. This is to say depending on your needs, you can definitely find a cheaper place, but it would be hard to find another place in the area that had both a clean, superior room, breakfast AND a lobby to sit and visit that also had a small bar, coffee throughout the day (for purchase) and a magnificent view of the Monesteries! It was close enough to town to walk (parking downtown is a mess), yet away from the craziness and bustle of the city centre. We took a taxi back, as it is quite a trek up. There are plenty of places to eat very close to the hotel, so after a long day of exploring there are many options. We even bought our own wine or ouzo sometimes and they gave us glasses and ice! Before our trip I wanted to change our arrival date and had trouble getting Expedia to confirm it, and the desk manager worked diligently with me until it was done. She is a part of the family operation and is a wealth of info about the area and felt like a caring relative!

Location location, great people

We liked this place so much we extended our stay from 3 to 5 days while we were there. While there, we looked around at the other places in Kastraki and Kalambaka, including those ranked high, and this seems to have the best, or one of the best at the least, locations at the top of Kastraki town, with an unobstructed view of the rock formations. Simple, elegantly furnished, 3 generations of one family all working there, two awesome daughters and their great parents and grandparents. Simple cold breakfast but with a good range of options each morning. Very helpful with advice on where to go and how to get here. Great price.

Great family staff. Delicious family restaurant down the street. Rooms were recently remodeled and very nice. We had one king bed instead of two twins but bed was standard comfort not as comfy as American beds. Great wifi. Big breakfast but the only food that was hot was the hard boiled eggs. Room had nice bath tub and the A/C didn't work well.

hotel di fronte alle meteore

Posted Sep 9, 2015
