Terrific TrimPosted Nov 17, 2015
Pros: Service, facilities, location opposite the castle, car parking, food, room rate - all terrific.
Cons: Perhaps waiver the car parking charge for those staying over.
Location: The town is small, but with a few restaurants to chose from. The castle is huge and the main attraction.
Arrived on a rainy night to be warmly greeted on reception. I'd asked in advance for any free room upgrade as a special occasion and was not disappointed with a large room on the 3rd floor with views over the terrace to Trim Castle. The hotel was quiet and car parking (underground or just outside) is €3 overnight. We asked for an ice bucket for our room and was asked if celebrating something. Service was so fast, a staff member with the bucket was waiting outside our room before we got there and was followed up by a complimentary plate with fruit and biscuits decorated with a chocolate 'Welcome'. A few minutes later, the hotel manager Patrick arrived to express his congratulations and hosted us on the 3rd floor terrace overlooking the castle - advising the history and even taking some photo's for us. Breakfast was plentiful with a good hot and cold selection and we only wish we could have stayed for longer. Overall, the staff were excellent and combined with good rates for such luxury, we would highly recommend - thank you all at Trim Castle Hotel.

up close to a castle ruin.Posted Nov 11, 2015
Pros: Loved dining in the restaurant wth the castle across the road. The night lighting was just beautiful and we had to go outand take photos.
Booking the night brfore we were delighted with the presentation and location of this hotel. It is modern, friendly and busy. It was rememberance day so bustling with parades and families. That night it had a singing concert in the Great Hall.

Great location, wonderful staff!Posted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
Our stay was wonderful, from the welcoming staff to the awesome location right across from the Castle Trim. We arrived late and the staff was very helpful and quickly checked us in. The location is also central to all that Trim has to offer.

Anything to make a buckPosted Jun 19, 2015 on Hotels
Good location near Trim Castle. Not impressed with the pay internet or the twin beds. Haven't had to pay for internet since the 90's. Room was noisy due to roofing issues when the wind blew-some sort of design flaw. The noise kept us up most of the night.
