First place to stay when you reach Raton

Pros: Not much honestly.
Cons: Room descriptions need to be updated to reflect the truth! We got a normal old room when paying almost $200 for a suite.
Location: Not much nearby, we had to drive into Raton to find something to eat.
Way overpriced, rooms are not what you would expect at their price point. Front desk clerk was unfriendly, rude and made it clear that we were not welcome and were interrupting her evening. She was short with her responses, we asked if anything delivered and got a very cold and nasty "not on a Sunday!" response. Parking lot was not plowed and was covered in snow, one guest got stuck in it and it had stopped snowing a day before we arrived so they had plenty of time. There were large patches of ice on the sidewalks going into the building, no ice melt was used and the ice was dangerous. The room is NOT a suite. It is a normal room with a love seat area that does not have a television to go with it. Very disappointed.

We appreciate your comments and honest feedback. Yes, Raton is a very small town and does have limited options when it comes to restaurants and delivery service. We do offer a complimentary evening manager's reception with beverages and both hot and cold items. We hope that you will consider staying with us in the future should your travels bring you back to the area.

It was ok, except for the mold in the corners of the shower, the "stuff" on the plumbing under the sink (which was open for view while using the toilet) and the dust on the a/c vents.

We use guest comments as training tools to let the staff know how our hotel is seen by the guests and are thankful for your input. Often guests have different view points from our staff. We are working to train staff to see things from these different perspectives such as when seated on the toilet or in the tub or laying on the bed. Your comment will help us with this training. Nice place to. Stay

Hotel very nice staff very nice. They have snacks in evening and breakfast in am. Convenient to interstate road closed right now so a little tough to find. Might want to call desk before you get there for directions. Can see from hwy.

Great place to stay

The full breakfast buffet was great - especially the hot cinnamon rolls! Kids loved the pancake maker. I liked also that coffee, juices and fruit, etc were available anytime. The evening manager's reception could be a light dinner, if we had a big late lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub area was never overcrowded and is very convenient to the rooms. The rooms were clean and everything worked well. The AC was not loud and kept the room at a good sleeping temp. I was overall very pleased with this hotel. It is pricey compared to others in Raton, but if you can swing it, you will have a great stay.
