Decent Hotel....Great Location

Posted Jun 2, 2017
Pros: The breakfast was good...The Security Staff was very polite and professional.
Cons: The receptionists need some training, the breakfast area could be updated, the WIFI system needs to be consistent and the rooms need a fridge.
Location: Great Location....Close to all major amenities; Shopping, Restaurants, Nightlife etc.
The receptionists at checkin and in general were not very friendly and welcoming...The WIFI password was changed without informing me and it kept shutting down...Had to call more than twice to find out what's happening. It was very tedious to get work done.

It's right down town Port of Spain

Posted May 14, 2017
Well I was a little disappointed the bed comforter was bumpy. Also there wasn't any refrigerator or microwave in the room, these are complimentary that comes with every room. Water was leaking from the bathtub that there was a little crazy.

Very Nice Hotel in the Heart of the City!

Posted Apr 25, 2017
Pros: This hotel is very convenient to downtown Trinidad. I felt very safe and secure.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: You can walk to nearby shopping and other activities.
This is the second time I stayed at this hotel and I was very pleased and happy with the service. There were some maintenance going on during my most recent trip but was definitely not distracting. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an affordable nice, clean, comfortable hotel and five stars to the staff who are all very friendly and treat you with the highest professionalism!

Super Friendly & Helpful

Posted Apr 21, 2017
Pros: The staff were super helpful and friendly.
Cons: More affordable food prices, please.
Location: There is the Breakfast Shed a few blocks away which offers local cuisine. A bit confusing at first for a new-comer to the island but delicious food.
My family and some friends recently traveled to Trinidad and stayed at this hotel for a few days. The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and we actually felt they were watching out for us. The lobby and pool area were beautiful, the food at the two restaurants were fabulous. My kids really loved the outdoor pool. The food though is outrageously overpriced. $33-$39USD per person per meal. The rooms were fine but each room had something different going on. One room, the safe was not working. Another room, the bathroom door wouldn't shut. One room had a surprise refrigerator while the others did not. There was some renovation signs to alert us that these problems were possibly being fixed. Nothing to ruin our stay. The hotel does not have a lot of food options within easy walking distance, especially for my family of small children. One must take a taxi to get to places. I would stay here again as the staff were so friendly to us.

Friendly staff, desperately needs renovation

Posted Apr 12, 2017
Location: The Radisson is located near downtown. Unfortunately, it is not near any restaurants - you'll need a taxi for that. If you're travelling out at night, you'll need a registered taxi to pick you up at a safe point. Banks were nearby, as was the ferry terminal (if you want to go to Tobago). From the Airport, expect a 30min- 1 hour taxi ride at around $30 USD to the hotel. Staff: The hotel staff were friendly, warm and considerate. Food: Food was tasty but awfully pricey in the hotel. Expect to pay TT110- 200+ local currency for a main meal. ($16-$29+). Breakfast can also be available...if you want to blow money on it. Hotel amenities: has a nice small pool area, and a fitness centre. The rooms: room was large, airy and spacious. It had a lounger chair and a decent desk and table for working. Bed was comfy. Unfortunately, the rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Wires were sticking out everywhere, plug sockets were detaching from the walls, lamps were dented, carpet was coming up in parts, bath had dents and marks, shower was leaky. Sometimes you had to let the water flow out of sink for a while because the first bits were yellow. (Although they were doing "maintenance" on water when I was there). They were also upgrading some rooms in the floor above, due to be finished "some time this year" , so you might be lucky and get a lovely new room, in which case -enjoy!

Scam Hotel

Posted Mar 29, 2017
Close to downtown mbut they run a scam with the taxi service saying there's an airport shuttle. There isn't. And the management are quick to jump out of the situation. Buyer beware. This hotel doesn't deserve to bear the Radisson name.

Dear Guest Thank you for staying with us and for providing us with some feedback. There appears to be some miscommunication with regards to taxi, as our hotel do not on any medium advertise the availability of airport shuttle. We have always advised our guest that there are taxi available at the airport that safe to use at your their own cost. We also do offer to arrange to have a car meet our guest at the airport, but again at their own cost. We apologies for any inconveniences caused and look forward to the opportunity to welcome you again, and please feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to ensure that you are looked after very well in hope that we can exceed your expectation. Warmest Regards

Nice enough hotel ...

Posted Mar 28, 2017
Close to everything in POS and you need to be close to restaurants because I found the food challenging to enjoy. The Bar however is excellent as is the service Omattie (always with a smile at the front desk) did her best to make sure I was comfortable as did the staff I encountered. Any problems I had was quickly addressed. The problem with my stay was I could find nothing from the kitchen edible nothing tasted like it was perepared with pride. And this is particularly sad as you can buy better food on the streets of trinidad then you can obtain from the kitchen of The raddisson and cheaper too. I ate breakfast mostly at the Breakfast Shed down the street and other meals at the Hyatt next door.

Helpful and modern

The city view in Room 502 was amazing. The room was large enough to accommodate 4 people. There was added value of having 2 sitting chairs in the room.
