Friendly staff, desperately needs renovation

Location: The Radisson is located near downtown. Unfortunately, it is not near any restaurants - you'll need a taxi for that. If you're travelling out at night, you'll need a registered taxi to pick you up at a safe point. Banks were nearby, as was the ferry terminal (if you want to go to Tobago). From the Airport, expect a 30min- 1 hour taxi ride at around $30 USD to the hotel.
Staff: The hotel staff were friendly, warm and considerate.
Food: Food was tasty but awfully pricey in the hotel. Expect to pay TT110- 200+ local currency for a main meal. ($16-$29+). Breakfast can also be available...if you want to blow money on it.
Hotel amenities: has a nice small pool area, and a fitness centre.
The rooms: room was large, airy and spacious. It had a lounger chair and a decent desk and table for working. Bed was comfy. Unfortunately, the rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Wires were sticking out everywhere, plug sockets were detaching from the walls, lamps were dented, carpet was coming up in parts, bath had dents and marks, shower was leaky. Sometimes you had to let the water flow out of sink for a while because the first bits were yellow. (Although they were doing "maintenance" on water when I was there). They were also upgrading some rooms in the floor above, due to be finished "some time this year" , so you might be lucky and get a lovely new room, in which case -enjoy!
