The book a single room with a sofa. The bed was not king size. We ask the two young ladies at the front desk for a room to help us get a room with two beds. They could do that because it was against the hotel policy. We ask to talk to hotel manager. They refused to do let us talk to the hotel manager. We left the hotel to find a two bed stay in another hotel. They said the hotel manager would call us back. Instead the clerck called back to say that we could not recover part of the 200$ already fully paid. I do not recommend a stay at Shawinigan Comfort Inn hotel. Instead I recommend Hotel Marineau in nearby Grand-Mère. Way better for less money.

Older hotel but rooms were clean. We used the pull-out couch which wasn't great in terms of comfort. Also asked for pillows and an extra blanket for it and they said they didn't have any. So no pillows for the extra bed?? Very strange. Breakfast was decent with scrambled eggs and sausage as well as usual continental fare.

We had a nice visit at this hotel, and would return or recommend. The staff that I dealt with were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent with scrambled eggs and sausage and the usual Continental fare. Our room had very nice views of the picturesque snowy mountains. The only negative thing was regarding the pull out couch which we used. The sheets and a blanket were in the couch and we were able to make the bed, but when I went to ask the front desk for pillows and an extra blanket for the bed, they said they didn’t have any. No extra blanket and no pillows. I found that very bizarre. Otherwise, this older hotel is nice and clean and comfortable and has a lot of life left.

The carpet in my room was very dirty, thus room smelled very bad. There is no dining available except for the breakfast that offers stale bread, overcooked mashed eggs and undercooked sausigages. The boiled eggs looked a few days old. The owners should do an overall upgrade for the rooms. Too pricy for what you receive.

It was easy to get to and proximity to shopping was a plus. The only downer was that there was no lift. As my husband and I both suffered with bad knees it was difficult trying to get our luggage up and down the stairs.
