Close to the centre of Tromso, yet half the price of the downtown accomodation. Good value, easy walking, clean yet simple room with modern bathroom and good hearty breakfast each morning.

Unpretentious hotel which was clean and comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff. In easy walking distance of the centre of Tromsø. The only meal provided was breakfast, which was fine for my needs though I would have appreciated a bit more choice.

My flight was delayed, which meant I could not check into the hotel before the reception closed at 8 pm. Because of this the hotel left me instructions on how to collect my key from a safe location which I was grateful for. I was very happy with the service at the hotel and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great economy stay
I booked a year out so got a rate that is half the current rate and my thought might differ if I paid the current rate. The staff were all wonderful and really went out of their way to help….this was much appreciated. The breakfast was quite decent and free. The single economy room was tiny but functional and fit for purpose. No complaints!

Great location, just a few minutes walking from a bunch of shops and restaurants. I could also see the mountains from my room :) Breakfast is great, with fresh bread, fruit, and more. Quiet and clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful as well. Would recommend :)

Very nice and simple hotel, perfect for a solo traveler. Check in after hours was very easy and convenient, I received a text message with a code for the key safe. Complimentary breakfast had good coffee, and a decent amount of choices for food. Very easy to reach on foot from the city center.

Excellent stay
This was my third stay at the hotel. Out of hours access is very easy. The staff are so pleasant. I will return to stay at the hotel in the near future

The staff were hugely accomodating and the hotel and room was very clean. Breakfast was okay and the bed was uncomfortable. We booked a double room and it was just two single futons pushed together with a mattress topper on top. Location was walkable to local amenities.

Good basic stay with friendly staff
Good basic hotel in the centre of town. Small functional rooms and very helpful staff - great recommendation for Cous restaurant over the road for pasta/pizza. Warm shower and room but just all very basic. I got a good price and only needed one night, so I was enough for my needs

Very handy to everything you need. We missed breakfast as we had early starts to outings. Perhaps an organized early option could be made available to those who need it.

Very close to the main AirPort Express bus stop and “downtown” shopping strip. I did the Midnight Marathon and this hotel is a straight 5 min walk to the finish line. The bathroom is not set up well. There are only shower curtains so the water was everywhere. The breakfast is ok. Plan to buy coffee somewhere else - the coffee in their automatic dispenser is not the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They speak English well. I felt safe all throughout my stay in Tromso. The people here are very friendly to tourists. I was walking by myself at night without feeling unsafe. Will definitely go back here.

Very friendly hotel. Good service and price. Breakfast included and luggage storage whixh was handy because I arrived off a cruise ship before check in time and was flying down to Oslo after check out time.

My room was ok. More basic than it appears in the photos. The shower gel obviously just left from a previous stay, quite noisy and the front desk (while lovely), only spoke Russian, so not very helpful.

2 night stay at the Skansen
We had a lovely two night stay at the Skansen. It is right at the heart of Tromso and you could walk anywhere in the town you wish to be in 10 minutes. There is also a bus stop 2 mins walk away for anywhere further you need to travel. The breakfast is continental style with a good selection of offerings (Coffee is on tap, a must for me) and everything is topped up as the sitting goes on. Highly recommend

The customer service was amazing, I had made a mistake when booking and they helped me figure it out once I got to the hotel. The hotel is at a really nice spot and the view was beautiful!
