The room was dirty.. Again. Expensive Motel.

Pros: Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Cons: Everything from the food to the cleanliness and the staff.
I've stayed at the Townsend Hotel on three different occasions. All of them have been worst than the last one. The rooms are disgusting. Filled with stains of the carpets, cigarette ash on the bathroom floors and drug paraphernalia underneath the beds. My three year old son found a marijuana pen underneath the bed while playing in the room. When we checked in, I told the lady at the desk that I would be paying cash for the night. That any and all expenses to be incurred were to be paid in cash. I asked them if they wanted a cash deposit and was told that it was not necessary. I ordered food that night ate and went to bed. At around 11:00pm I got a phone call to my room telling me that there was a problem with my credit card and that they had to collect the money for the food. No problem, but do you realize its 11:00pm? I was sleeping and so was my son and wife? - Remember that I offered you a deposit when I checked in? They proceeded to send a guy up to my room. The bill was $220.. I gave him $300.00 because I didn't have the change and told him to F*** Off. The staff is not organized well although they have good intentions. They lost our luggage and sent it into another room. It was not until we called that they were able to locate it and bring it back to the correct room. The room service is overly priced, the food is stale and old. Not worth $500.00 + per night. This is a two star Motel and not a 4 star hotel as they claim to be. Just ashamed to have this filth of

Our apologies for your stay. If truth be told, many of the items you mentioned were never mentioned to us at any time during your stay. Other than a slight wait for your luggage, we find your comments to be very untruthful with intent to damage our reputation. All of our rooms are brand new (within the past year). We do require those that pay with cash other than a credit card to leave a deposit. It is not the hotel's fault that your card was not valid. We have an excellent luxury reputation and it is unfortunate you have to be disparaging on our reputation in your untruthful comments.

Nice hotel. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a chance to enjoy the amenities as we were too busy doing other things.

Holiday family get together

Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Change up the rugby grill menu. Add more vegetarian and vegan options- Create a juice bar- have almond milk and non dairy options for coffee.
Location: Downtown Birmingham -the cutest little city in Michigan(imho) walkable. Good restaurants in the area. Excellent yoga and work out facilities close by-
Easy check in. Great stafff - everyone is so kind, nice and helpful. Our favorite server was Rocco 😀

Stay here whenever in Birmingham/ Detroit area. Great place. Right up there with Fairmont properties.

Short surprise getaway for my partners 40th birthd

Pros: Everything.
Cons: We were a little surprised at how thin the walls were and we could hear our neighbors. Nothing too bad, though, and we are picky.
Location: Great location in downtown Birmingham. It was raining while we were there, but we ended up going to Toast for brunch. Highly recommended!
Although our stay was short (we were traveling from California to Canada to Michigan), we had an excellent time at this hotel. Beautiful suite, wonderful amenities, great mini bar.
