Excellent stay and staff!!! Can’t say enough about how friendly the staff was . We accidentally left clothes in the room at checkout but they called us quickly before we left town and had clothes waiting for us when we returned to hotel.
The Bistro ran out of some foods on Wednesday morning and had not replenished by Friday. They also ran out of a large range of liquor Wednesday night, causing them to close early Thursday night as the options became quite limited.
I’m not blaming the bartender, she did as well as she could under the circumstances. What I don’t understand is how management didn’t re-supply.
No USB charging port, no complimentary breakfast, and the diameter of the toilet seat was too small for the toilet (COLD!), but the room was clean, the bed comfy, and the staff was outstanding!
Keniesha and Destiny were great hostesses. We have stayed at several hotels around Birmingham. We really enjoyed our stay. We will be back. Excellent property with excellent people. Thanks Marriott!!
When I arrived the desk clerk greeted me with, “Check in is not till 4:00”, and it was 3:00 of which my hotels.com document said check in was 3:00. She told me to leave and come back in an hour. So, when I came back, Alton was on the desk and was very kind and friendly. Hotel was clean and convenient. Everything good except the angry, barking desk clerk.
The staff was very friendly, including the housekeeping staff. The only problem was that our room was never cleaned. We had no garbage removed or beds made. Disappointing, but that was the only negative.
No complimentary breakfast, nor a coffee machine in the lobby; bathtub didn't drain well. For 250 bucks for a single night, rather disappointing. Staff was great, amenities not so much.
Hotel was very nice, people were friendly and helpful. The gym needs more equipment i.e. cable machine and larger area to train. The breakfast was not to my liking, I prefer a buffet style.
We arrived at 2:30 to watch a bowl game and they said check-in starts at three. So we finslly got in the room turned on the TV. It ran for 3 minutes and stopped. They got it working and it failed two more times before they switched our room. We then had to repack and move. One of the reasons we chose the hotel was there was a restaurant however it wasn't operating so newsyearseve we had to find a restaurant and breakfast Newsyearsday.
There is more counter help then maintenance and cleaning services. You can only check in exactly at 3pm. (No exceptions) They will offer you if you have any preferences. But, There are no preferences. (There isn't reason to ask you) they can say they asked you. So, there isn't reason to ask. Just making look like they asked. Thats all
