The staff on the front desk were really helpful and checked us in efficiently. The cleaning staff were excellent, with our room being cleaned at the same time each day. Overall we had no negative feelings towards the hotel (the rooms can get quite warm, but in winter that is not a bad thing at all). I saw a lot of people complain about the hotel being “outdated”, but in a former USSR country, I found it gives it some character. Would absolutely stay here again.

Picked this hotel as it was a bit quirkier than others that are more centrally based and part of chains. Room was good and spacious. AC worked like a dream and was easily controllable from within the room. Wifi was solid and worked EVERYWHERE in the hotel. Food and drinks at the rooftop restaurant were very good (although the view is not as described on the website). Breakfast was limited but was enough and did the job. All staff, including the cleaners and those working the breakfast area were very nice. Reception staff were excellent. Pool area was good. Had an issue with neighbouring guests but was handled professionally by reception staff. Hotel website says there is 'zero tolerance' and a 'one warning' approach, but this family had multiple complaints about them over the course of the week from multiple guests but were allowed to stay. Snack options (vending machine perhaps) would be good as the hotel bar was closed the whole time we were there (there is a small 24 hour shop just over the road). Pool flooring area is EXTREMELY slippery when wet and mandatory swimming caps is a silly rule they enforce. Also, a lot of guests were intent on just doing lengths in the pool, so there is limited time to just chill in the pool (although we found it to be fairly quiet in the afternoons).

We had a great stay at this hotel, which is right on the corner with Vitosha street. Great location, walkable to all the main attractions. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was also great, there is an AC. We could leave our bags at reception after check-out. Breakfast was at a nearby cafe Memento which consisted of a coffee and a croissant which was perfect for us. Would recommend!

Not a complete kitchen one big pot no small saucepan or frying pain no toaster A effort to find the wifi password why couldn’t they leave a small card with it on ? Unfinished wires out of the walls timber near the washing machine cupboard, it would have been handy to have information on how to use the washing machine and oven
