A pleasant surprise

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: Modern room
Cons: Wifi in room. Mention the required deposit ahead of time.
This hotel was a lot better than I expected after reading some of the reviews here. The room was spacious (super high ceiling and windows), clean and modern. Not the easiest to find (it's the furthest building away in the complex from where the light transit bus stops). Access is ok..I didn't use the free shuttle, but from Tsing Yi Station, the 88F bus (~4HKD) goes to the hotel in about 10 minutes. I don't recommend taking luggage on it though, although it is possible. A few complaints: The hotel charges a 500HKD refundable deposit upon checking in (either cash, or charged on a credit card). At least, they said it was refundable. There's no eating at the tables in the lobby, and wifi is not available in guestrooms. Or, I should say, each guestroom has its own wifi, but only residents can use it. Hotel guests must use the free wifi in the lobby. The view is actually decent. It's basically the container port, but you can see Central HK in the distance. Noise is a bit of an issue. I actually couldn't hear the container port, but I could definitely hear the people in the hallway outside my door.
