Quality cheap hotel near the airport

Pros: Convenient location, excellent staff.
Cons: Nothing really. It's not a luxury hotel by any means, but for this price its excellent value.
Location: It's right across the road from a shopping mall with supermarket, ATMs etc.
I spent a night at Quest Hotel Kuta after arriving in Bali on a late flight. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the free airport pick-up service is a definite bonus. The room was a little tired-looking, but clean and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was also excellent. I'd definitely recommend Quest for a well-priced hotel near the airport.

Decent if you can get past the stains.

There was so many stains in my room - even on the curtains. The bathroom was fairly nice with some grime and the showerhead was a bit wonky. Liked the staff and the layout but the rooms need a huge makeover.

smoking room and noisy air-con not clean

Pros: Close to air port
Cons: needs a good clean up and upgrade
Location: close to air port and surf beaches.
Room smelt like and ash tray and smoke burns on benches. Noisy air-con not cold. Room unclean and grotty.

Quest Hotel Tuban Bali

Pros: Close to airport
Location: Not much close by
I checked in late at night at 11 pm having prepaid my stay and the night staff did not have me booking and fooled around for 30 minutes trying to locate it. The room offered smelled very badly of cigarette smoke and again there was a lot delay to find a second clean room - by this time almost midnight. CAUTION most Indonesian hotels allow smoking in their rooms - smoking or non smoking does not seem to make any difference so always make sure that the room has not had a smoker in it. Nice breakfast.

Pros: Not much
Cons: Start with breakfast and keep going.
Location: I am sure that this is great for travellers who need to be near the mosque.
I chose this hotel due to it's proximity to the airport. That was a mistake. The sound of the evening call to prayer from the local mosque and the surrounding lack of amenities and perilous footpaths made my stay memorable for all the wrong reasons. The crowning glory on this was the so-called breakfast in the restaurant. The tea & coffee were stewed past recognition, I paid extra for a fresh coffee that was undrinkable. The food was uniformly awful. I decided that you couldn't go wrong with toast, only to find that the butter was rancid and the jam was basically red sugar jelly.

I only stayed 1 night in this hotel as it is very close to the airport and has a free shuttle. I highly recommend it not just for short stay. Central, free shuttle back and forth nice room, good free breakfast and a nice pool area. I found this hotel extremely good for my purpose on this trip and would use it again.
