Convenient location

Toured the University. Convenient location for that, as well as shopping, and finding great restaurants.

Loved the bedding!!House cleaning Excellent!

Posted Aug 15, 2015
Pros: Bedding, lobby (pool table and Bar) we did have fun playing pool!! The help that cleaned your rooms did a great job!!
Cons: Get some draws in the room and the closet is a JOKE (for THREE of us). Also better lighting in the bathroom where you make up and do your hair.
Location: My granddaughter goes to U of A at Tucson. The town connected to the collage is darling, has GREAT restaurants & shopping also above in the hills.
NO draws,NO closet space,NO mirrors,BAD lighting. loved lobby, pool table/bar,fun!! If it wasn't for the bedding and lobby I'd never stay here again. Housekeeping was "Excellent". I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't have draws and had that small of a closet!! (we travel all over the world). The first day there I said Never Again! BUT as I said before because of bedding and the FUN lobby (pool table) we would stay again. The price was right,I guess you get what you pay for!! I feel my answers are going to repeat myself over and over. We did have a fun time moving my granddaughter into the Sorority. ALSO (couldn't fit below in improvements) You need a magnified mirror over the sink, on the right or left side!!!!! A man must of designed that room!!!!! No lighting or magnified mirror to put on make-up. Or should I say NO GOOD LIGHTING!!!!

Wildcats are back.

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Well managed and maintained.
Cons: Noise control from the traffic on Speedway.
Having stayed at this hotel in June I found it to be quiet, clean and excellent. I returned in July. The hotel was very busy and full of families taking advantage of the summer rates. The management of this volume was impressive, making for another excellent stay. After my Aug. stay I will not be staying there upon my return to Tucson in Sept. This hotel is located next to the U of A Campus on Speedway Blvd, making it is impossible to escape the sounds of the traffic passing the front of the hotel all hours of the day and night now that the Wildcat students have returned. The noise factor is a problem for me. I will avoid staying at this hotel Aug. thru May.

Thank you for your kind comments about the Aloft Tucson University. We are certainly sad to see you head to a quieter location while the University is back in session. Look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Hot water debacle

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed.
Cons: Extra boilers.
There was no hot water for most of my 3 day stay. A boiler problem was to blame. On the second day of no hot water the staff indicated to me that it was only certain rooms affected and told me they would move me. I packed all my stuff back up only to now be told that the whole hotel was affected. Great. Unpacked and called back later for status - told that it was too late and that a professional would be there first thing in the morning. Hot water was back in time for me to check out.

Nice Hotel. Close to University of Arizona

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: Close proximity to the University of Arizona
Cons: The pillow were extremely uncomfortable. They were too thick and hard
Location: Great Location
Very nice hotel. The check-in was different, thought it was strange to have just a circular desk when you walked in the door and not a typical check-in counter. Check-in and check-out was extremely quick so that was nice. However, did not offer in room check-out through menu services Didn't like the small/dark elevators. Overall nice hotel and would stay there agan

Disappointing

Posted Jun 10, 2015
We chose this hotel because it was close to the university and claimed to cater to alumni and visitors. We were there to register our daughter for classes and reserved a room with two queen beds. Upon check in they informed us that they were unable to fulfill that request and instead gave us a king bed and a roll away. This was not acceptable and I will not be staying at this location again. A full grown adult on a tiny, uncomfortable roll away!

Went up there for business and it was easy to navigate around, staff was friendly, and everything worked out.
