Slept well & good breakfast. Road construction nearby is a minor inconvenience.

Nice

Posted Mar 14, 2017
Pros: The friendly atmosphere
Cons: The road was under construction and we had a very difficult time finding it. Our gps did not work for a detour.
Location: Reid park zoo,Sabine Canyon, and saquero park
Nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel looks a little dated, but the friendly atmosphere makes up for that. The hotel lobby had coffee, ice water, lemonade, and fresh baked cookies. The pool area was clean. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave, which is very nice to have.

Worth the Challenge of Road Construction

Posted Mar 12, 2017
Pros: The staff was terrific.
Cons: The only thing is the access which is totally out of control of the hotel.
Location: We enjoyed the Museum of the Horse Soldier - really wonderful!
Had some difficulty reaching the hotel. We could see it but road construction made it a bit of a challenge. Best if you pull in before dark. Worth the adventure - desk clerk was very friendly and helpful, room clean, comfortable, large, and quiet. There's a Denny's within a short walking distance = many other restaurants within easy enough driving distance. It's on the west edge of town and made a good stopping point coming from Phoenix with the following day planned for Tucson. Once you've figured out how to get there, it would make a decent base for staying in the area.

Square peg, round hole

Posted Feb 21, 2017
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Location: next to the freeway, n o where to walk or eat, only a Denny's
Nothing but a Denny's shared with 3 hotels. No place to walk after a long drive. No sidewalks, green area or even a cluster of shops, no taverns, nada! No safe in the room, small bathroom, small room, noisy heat unit. So for us, by pass this hotel, drive to the next off ramp, a couple of choices there that are much better.

Dear Lumberman, Thank you for your comments. I’m sorry that you did not enjoy our hotel. I do apologize about the construction. I do understand your frustrations and hope you will consider staying with us again once it is completed. Roads should make getting to us easier and walking trails should be reopened. My apologies about the small bathroom, no safe in rooms and noisy heating unit as well. We take pride in offering the best possible guest experience, and I understand that we let you down. We hope you will come back!. Sincerely, Lisa Avila General Manager

Average stay; nice staff

Posted Feb 20, 2017
With a lot of construction in the immediate area, the congested outet feeling of the location was undesirable. Inside, it felt small, but fine for a short stay. The staff were very congenial.

Reasonably priced hotel right off the Interstate.

Posted Jan 31, 2017
Cons: Breakfast options were lacking variety.
Location: We simply needed a place to sleep for the night without adding extra distance.
Easy access with a decent bed. (there isn't more to say)

Hard beds

Quite hard beds. Decent accommodation but not great. Decent breakfast. Better value can be had at this price point.

Very low- average hotel

Posted Jan 25, 2017
Pros: Location, perhaps.
Cons: Updated furniture and carpeting. Don't think there is a fix for the bathroom size.
We booked a "king suite" as we expected to have friends enjoy a pleasant evening with us and, perhaps, crash on the hidabed. I actually discouraged them from visiting as the "suite" was so very average, almost tacky, and the bathroom facilities would not have been adequate for 4 adults. The hidabed looked scary at best. The breakfast was normal hotel fare--nothing more than ordinary. The staff was very accommodating...fine with that. We did enjoy the Jacuzzi tub, but the rest of the bath facilities were nearly claustrophobic. Don't think the "suite" was worth the extra $$$$.
