"Viva Casino Del Sol!"

Posted Jul 6, 2015
This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. As you drive up you feel like you are at one of the resorts in Las Vegas. They offer free valet, check in (and check out) was quick. Our room was spacious and updated. We faced the pool so we had a nice view. The pool area is nice and has a lot of lounge chairs and umbrellas. After 11:00 the bar there opens so they have servers coming around and you can order food and drinks. Happy hour for half price drinks is from 3:00-6:00. Don't forget to get your wristband, the color changes daily. Security does come around often to check for wristbands. I did see plenty of people not wearing them, some people were asked to go get them and others were not. I do wish they had a seperate pool area for kids, they were everywhere and jumping in and out with tons of pool toys. This could be annoying at times. The casino is a good size. It is not smoke free. They have a steakhouse, Mexican, restaurant, taco joint, a deli, an Asian restaurant, a buffet, a 24 hour diner and two Starbuck's as well as room service. They also have a spa, golf and a gift shop. It is not that far a drive to go out to downtown Tucson. I recommend Feast, Hub and Prep and Pastry for some delicious meals. We also visited the Mission and Stratosphere 2. Both were interesting and worth the visits. Overall we had a nice relaxing stay. Beware that July is monsoon season. We had some pretty heavy storms on a daily basis usually after 4:00 and the pool was closed often.

Lovely stay

Great restaurants, spacious room, super gym equipment, attentive staff. The only negative was that the pool seemed like it should be cleaner and we noticed hotel guests allowing young children with diapers on in the pool. We chose to lay out and have lunch by the pool but not enter the water.

Perfect for a mini stay-cation. Room was clean and the bed was super comfy. Will definitely be staying there again.

Basicly enjoyable stay. Great pool rooms well maintained. Pool people very friendly. Housekeeping also excellent. Resgjstration not very pleasant. I took my daughter and her husband. Had told them of previous excellent stays. Had also recommended to my sister in law which they also enjoyed. Registration not very welcoming perhaps because it was fathers. Also attempted to make reservation for return trip but were not very helpful. Perhaps next trip will skip staying in Tucson and stay in Phoenix.

Business trip

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: The food was great and available 24 hours. Staff was very courteous & helpful.
Cons: I do not find any room for improvement. Great value for the price.
The Casino Del Sol turned an ordinary business trip to Tucson into an unexpected relaxing pleasure. I started my day with a breathtaking view, from my room, of the sunrise over the desert background then enjoyed Starbucks espresso in the lobby. After the business meeting I enjoyed a wonderful meal then retired to my beautifully spacious room. I slept like a queen in an extremely comfortable king sized bed.

Horrible

Pros: Pool are
Cons: let security OFF the pool area, watching what are you doing, like your a criminal.....
Location: OFF Tucson.. just the gas station close...
There was no elevators, stayed on 7 floor, with 2 year old baby, no TV no Phone for room service, at pool, they close at 6pm sunday, security is very tight, took my baby capri sun drink and a bag of chips. so why they dont sell 24/7, or let us enjoy or own refresment whit no problem,,,, RESORT????
