The surrounding area was a little scary with a closed hotel accross the street and the street to enter the hotel was very very bad. Had big holes. But once you enter the hotel completely different. Very clean and welcoming.

Unfortunately I'm a snob when it comes to hotels. I will pay the big bucks and get disappointed with the Facility. I road trip a few time's a month to other states. A lone female traveler. I accidentally stayed at a Sonesta because all hotels were full. Now. Sonesta is the only hotel i will stay at. It never disappointes. Its beautiful, clean and very reasonable. You dont pay an arm and a leg to get top class service. The front desk is fast, friendly and there's no confusion at check-in. There was a little bump, but she never let on or hesitated. Her flow was wonderful. Sonesta is my hotel now.

Things that weren’t working: the laundry machines, ice machine on our floor and all floors somehow, the pool, our room tv. The breakfast was ok but no waffles?! That’s the best part of these breakfast bars usually. The fruit (apples and bananas) were rotten. Anyway it just felt like the whole place was barely keeping it together and almost every amenity was broken.

While the facility was superficially clean & modern it became obvious that other things were overlooked, not in good working order-electrical outlets damaged/possibly dangerous, pool was dirty, breakfast was limited & was closed at 9am even on the weekend…too early for most travelers. Not a great value but the reception/lobby staff were accommodating, friendly & welcoming. I probably would not stay here again.

I have never written a negative review before but this will be my first. Overall everything at the hotel was good except for the maintenance of the facilities was lacking. The first room had a blocked toilet that overflowed the first time we used it for liquid waste. We called the front desk and they moved us to another room. When we got to that room the toilet was running and never shut off. I took a quick look inside and couldn’t fix it. We again called the front desk and were moved to another room after a long delay. The third room was fine. All the ice machines in the hotel were not working and the pool was out of service. The management needs to address these issues if they want to bring the hotel up to current standards.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Sonesta. It was very close to the airport, which was why I selected it. It was easy to find, and nice and clean. Continental breakfast was better than the vast majority of them. The shower had great pressure and tons of hot water. A very comfortable king bed too. You can pay a whole lot more and still not get a better hotel. All things considered, this would be my go to hotel when flying in to Tucson.

The property was subpar for the price we paid. Towels too small to even cover my 5ft tall wife. Bugs in the room which I had to kill. Bathroom is laid out in a poor way such that you can't really close the door while inside without getting into the tub/shower first. Pool was closed. Breakfast has very limited options with stale, dry hashbrowns, bagels, and some homemade meat items. The positive was that the night manager was very responsive and even was the one who drove the shuttle van to pick us up at TUS airport.

Employee at front desk was not friendly and I had to wait to be attended because there was nobody there when I walked in, it was very unwelcoming. I received the keys to my room and read the room number wrong and I was able to open the door to someone else’s room. It was by accident but that is unacceptable, it is very disturbing that my key was able to open someone else’s room. I would hate if that happened to me and felt terrible it happened to them. When I told the employee it was brushed off like it was not an issue. I think that is a major privacy concern and should be changed IMMEDIATELY. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

No water pressure, there was no hair dryer in the room, the shower gel smelled like pickle juice, when you step in the tub you’re going to feel like it’s about to collapse, trash galore on the outskirts of the property. Not a great time.

Room was dirty. Toilet didn’t flush well, and the toilet seat was loose. Couch was stained and dirty. Floor when we checked in was dirty. Pool area had no umbrellas, and all the lights were broken in pool area. This hotel needs some major refurbishment.

It was an average hotel but expected a little more for the price, have seen similar rooms go for half the price. Staff was super nice and the accommodations were sufficient.

VERY rude staff. Did not have room available at time of checkin. They had us wait 45min at which time they only gave us the room which was available, not the room I paid for. Staff we not even available at the front desk to assist customers and apparently they could not find their cleaning staff. Very disorganized and would not recommend this hotel.

Prostitution outside the hotel. Wasn't ask to leave for some time. Carpeting was dirty throughout thebroom. Towel ring is about to fall off of wall. Air-conditioner makes a constant noise and can not be used with maintenance not on the property.
