My favorite relaxation spot. Under my prayer flags on the backporch....this day I had a visitor.
Stop by and say hello...
(No, you cannot have my address lol) I found this tarantula in Sabino Canyon and I picked it up on a stick and moved it to a rock where I could take some photos. This was a huge spider that i thought was very interesting. Spend enough time in the desert and you are bound to see some interesting creatures. This was a 3 or 4 inch desert centipede that i located under a cactus. I have never seen one so I was reluctant to handle it even with gloves. If I encounter something I am not familiar with I just leave it alone. A picture of the desert sunrise from just outside of Tucson. I thought the colors would be more pink and red but I sure enjoyed being out there. #BestOf5 Sunset over Tucson, Arizona.
This photograph was taken from the Saguaro National Park looking toward the city. One more photo of the Sonoran desert around Tucson. #localgem
Cristate or Crested Saguaro...
Science has yet to figure these giant beauties out.
Did a lightning strike cause this, is it a deformity?
I think they are amazing and am thrilled with each new find... the most amazing sunsets ever! Some amazing cheap breakfast all the college kids at U of A come here. Giant pancakes and some very good omelettes come give it a try. Many hiking opportunities outside Tucson, hiking to the seven falls here. About a two hour hike. Refill your water bottle in the falls themselves. Crystal clear! It is part of the Bear Canyon Trails in the Santa Catalina mountain range. You can take a bus until the pavement ends then begin the hike. Polynesian styled food and theme complete with straw thatched roofing and tiki displays. The bacon wrapped shrimp here was Awesome.
More on http://www.ajauntwithjoy.com Unique pedestrian bridge. It continues on to the other side of the road, where its rattle rises up out of the sidewalk. In the older part of downtown Tucson we found this authentic Mexican restaurant and I liked this outside wall.
We did not eat here, but any visit to Tucson must include some Mexican food. The Tucson Zoo is a great Zoo even though it is relatively small little cottontale bunny Taking the trail to the seven falls. The final destination has pools large enough for swimming and there are about seven stream crossings to get there. This is part of Bear Canyon Trail. We rode this hot air balloon in Tucson.
The ride was quiet and peaceful - a nice experience. desert cactus bones Cadbury chocolates
Waffer..dietary.. I can't decide... I love both sunsets! A very nice project worth seen, office closes at 5pm. Take a look and learn about this inspiring project. Such colors in the desert Prickly Pear Cactus Tour Barrio Viejo ( the old neighborhood) to see beautiful old Tucson homes like this street across from the park. #Blue Great prices on variety of used sporting equipment and arid climate clothing with TVS showing sports while you shop.
