Nice hotel, very convenient location, large parkin

Posted Aug 13, 2016
Pros: Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms were very nice and clean, small refrigerator , microwave oven, coffee maker are provided.
Cons: NBC HD and FOX HD were not available on TV, there was no trash can in the bathroom, Toilet bowl was too low and the water in it was too high.
Location: Location was good for parking and close to the airport, but nothing to do in the vicinity of the location.
It was clean, comfortable, and pleasant stay. The beds were very comfortable, bathroom and the room itself were clean. They provide a small refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker with coffee and tea bags a shuttle bus to the airport, very nice lobby and swimming pools.. NBC and FOX channels were not available on TV, there was not a trash can in the bath room, the toilet bowl was too low and the water was standing too high in it. The staff at the reception desk, at the restaurant were friendly but cleaning crew did not seem very friendly. In general it was a comfortable, relaxing stay and the price was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, good price, but with problems

Posted Aug 6, 2016
Cons: At least show guests a map of the rooms, especially if the room isn't in the main building. Make sure the room and gate keys are in working order.
Location: Close to the Tucson Convention Center.
Check in was quick, the clerk didn't give us a map to the room which wasn't in the main building. We ended up on an abandoned floor of the hotel that was being remodel, while searching for our room. After all, you would expect a room with a 400 number to be on the 4th floor. I was starting to feel like this was a bad movie! Going back to the lobby, we discovered our gate key card didn't work. The clerk reset the keys and gave us a map to the room, which was a smaller building outside of the main building next to the beautiful pool. Evidently all the 400's had been move there. When we came back to the room after dinner, the key card wouldn't work, it took about 20 tries and very quick reactions to get in! That could be a problem on a dark night in the South side of Tucson or anywhere else for that matter. We didn't have to use the gate key, a staff member was at the gate when we arrived. The "room" was a suite which was a pleasant surprise. the only problem with the suite was that it had been a smoking room at one time. The odor was quite strong. Comfortable king size bed, lots of hot water in the shower, room was very clean except for the stale smell. All the staff we met were polite and somewhat helpful. It was an adventure!

Hi Nona, Thank you for taking the time to complete a satisfaction survey. We truly believe that every bit of feedback can be used to improve our guests' experiences! I apologize for the confusion regarding the room numbers. Due to our renovations we have temporarily moved the 400's to our poolside suites. We certainly should have explained that to you when you checked in! I've provided you feedback to the appropriate department so they can be sure to do this in the future. We are aware of the difficulties with some of our keys and our doing our best to address it now. I sincerely hope that you will visit us again in the future so we can provide you with a seamless stay! Thanks! Sarah Dorsey Director of Sales Radisson Hotel Tucson Airport

The WORST Radisson. Ever.

Posted Jul 18, 2016
The hotel lobby was amazingly pretty. The rest of the hotel was run down and there was hair from a prior guest in our tub. Even worse was that on a 108 degree day, no one had thought ahead to cool the room with window units only available it took several hours before the room approached kinda cool. The TV was nice as it was flatscreen and the pool sparkled.

Don't be fooled by the lobby photo's!

Posted Jun 28, 2016 on Hotels
The staff was very friendly, the bar was nice, and the lobby was nice. Everything else was terrible! The outside looked awful and was in a terrible neighborhood! The room was much smaller than I expected! The shower was terrible, dirtype, no trash can in the bathroom. Have the channels didn't work on the TV. Really the only positive was a friendly staff. I won't be staying here on my next trip to Tucson!

No complaints!

Posted Jun 20, 2016 on Hotels
Let me start by saying that with the price I paid for the room I didn't set my expectations too high. I've stayed here before when it was under the Holiday Inn name but Radisson has definitely made some improvement. The outside grounds could use some sprucing up but that was not a concern. The pool area is nice and was very busy because of the hot weather but not a problem as we spent most of our time in the air conditioned comfort of our room. We had a ground floor suite which I had absolutely no complaints about. The king size bed was immaculate with fresh, clean, all white bedding. The mattress and pillows were super comfy. I was very happy with my stay and look forward to returning. Also, the staff were very attentive and helpful!

Expected a better hotel on a 3.5 star rating, not good restaurant but fair for the price. Far form airport.

A Hotel In Need of Some TLC

Posted Jun 13, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: The restaurant wasn't half bad (which is a good thing considering I didn't have a car and there is literally nothing to eat for miles and miles).
Cons: Absolutely everything.
First, this hotel is at least 20 minutes from the airport in an area that is best described as a barren wasteland of trailers and salvage yards. Second, it appears to be run by a skeleton staff of very young, inexperienced people who have insufficient training in customer service and hoteling. They're nice, and they mean well, but seemed to have only minimal skills and very dirty clothes. Third, the lobby, which resembles a Mexican village courtyard, is nice enough, but the waterfall in it's midst is deafening and the chlorine in the water reeks. Fourth, every single surface in the room and hallway of the floor I stayed on is stained, dinged, marked or torn, as if it had a long history of frat parties. On a positive note, the room I was in was clean enough, and the restaurant wasn't half bad (which is a good thing considering I didn't have a car and there is literally nothing to eat for miles and miles). I really needed that gin and tonic served in a 20-ounce soda glass!

Lipstick on a pig

Posted May 16, 2016 on Hotels
This hotel had once even a convention center, but is now tired and sad. The HUGE lobby was empty of furnishings except for an old sofa and a couple of chairs. A recent attempt at renovation had occurred in the room, but the carpet wasn't stretched correctly leaving large ripples. The bathroom ceiling was peeling and gross. There was trim missing in various places. The AC was very noisy but shut out the noise from the people partying in the parking lot quite nicely. The ice machine was covered with hard water crust and smelled of mold. I was really disappointed with this hotel and feel the hotels.com rating was far too generous.
