Shady place and managment

So we decided to take a impromptu trip to visit our friend in Tucson, we checked in the first thing we are told is there's a deposit for the electronic key. After getting into our room the first thing I did was go to the restroom, only to find that the shower had never been cleaned. There was a used bar of soap, dirty washcloth, a band-aid, and a big ball of hair in the tub. Manager said he'd come look. While waiting found a nicotine patch attached to the bed. He apologized and to us,said he would fix the issue. He put us in a suite but demanded a deposit of $50 since it was a non smoking room. After he insisted that I had no choice I had my boyfriend come talk to him. My BF was told that he was owning up to the mistake but needed the deposit since he saw I was a smoker and only had that room with two beds. Told him that we were supposed to be put into a single bed room but the manager said he assumed we needed two beds since a friend was with us. He assumed she was staying also. After insisting that we lied on our booking and he was doing us a favor by allowing our friend a bed, we asked for the room that we originally booked because our friend was not staying with us. The manager informed me that right after we checked in he rented our original room. In the end we couldn't get ourselves to stay due to the argumentative and disrespectful couple that run this motel.

we appreciate your time to the issue you face. you were three people and you booked the room for two people, that the reason i offered the two beds and you accepted. It is policy of all hotel that if you are in nonsmoking room you have to give authorization for deposit but you have no money in your card, that reason we asked for deposit. Any way we didn't charge anything and gave you full refund. We apologize for your inconvenience.
