Super clean and cute room. The people working the desk were beyonf knowldgable about our questions on where to go to eat and other things. Would stay here again.

We rented a cabin that was rundown and dirty. The lights blinked when the refrigerator kicked on. The tub and shower were stained. The TV remote didn’t work right. There were carpenter bees and wasps on the porch. There was a strong musty/smoky smell throughout. We called and two people came immediately to try and address the TV and bees. We then asked if we could get a different room or cabin and they told us we could move to the next cabin which was much better overall.

No hot water in our room.. couldn’t even shower. Run down. Pool filthy. Orange hazard vines all over property. Very outdated. No desk phones I room has to walk to office for service. TV remote didn’t work, had to get out of bed to change channel. Do not recommend

Location is easy access to I-24. Room could be updated but was clean. Shower was good and hot with nice shower head. Bed was comfortable. Very good stay for the price.

You get what you pay for. The mattress was older and sank a little and there were a few ants in the sink, but running water made them disappear. The tv remote didn’t work and the firewood didn’t burn, but other than that it was great

The Smokehouse is an institution. However, the quality of the rooms seems to have decreased over the years. However, good value for the cost!

Cute rustic lodge. Affordable lodging, fairly clean, only disappointed that the trading post is no longer there and the restaurant is only open on Friday and Saturday.

This was a very affordable stay and we were drawn in by the price and reviews. People should know that this is an older motel. The decor and fixtures, furniture etc are all very dated and old. But the room felt clean except for a sticky floor. Just know that the price reflects a mediocre facility. If you are ok with that, the staff was very welcoming .

It’s a unique facility and has been around a long while. I’d say it is a bit dated though the bed was comfortable and it was pretty clean. The staff are very welcoming, helpful, and efficient. We ate at the bar and grill that has replaced the original that burned a few years ago. The staff was, again, great, and the food pretty good. I just don’t care for meals served on paper plates with plastic utensils. The live music was good and made the meal more fun.

The beds were TERRIBLE! The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. You could feel the springs. The room was dirty and needed a major update. The door in the bathroom was peeling and cracked. There was a dog next door that was loud as could be. When I walked in to hand in my key to checkout the front desk attendant was sleeping on the couch, which to me was completely unprofessional. He is not getting paid to sleep on the job. won't stay here again. There was no microwave and the fridge you could barely fit anything into it.

Budget friendly, and you get what you pay for. It isn't fancy at all, but I would stay there again. Bed was comfy, room was decent. Both ice machines were broken and vending machines were empty. Small town, not much happening.

Property is a little dated, however its a rustic comfortable feeling. Our room was as cleean as any I have ever stayed in. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. Will stay again if in the area.
