Great space, horrible service.

I spent two and a half weeks in the Majestic in September/October 2015. The hotel's location is perfect for access to downtown and even the Medina, but difficult for anywhere else (taxis are hard to come by). The hotel's restaurant and bar are acceptable food-wise (the bar is one of the only places downtown you can have a draft beer) and moderately priced. The rooms are huge, clean, and comfortable. The service in the hotel, however, is awful. Cleaning is decent but not great. The reception often seems overwhelmed and unorganized. The gym is somehow separate to the hotel, has narrow hours, and is paid for separately. No one responds to complaints nor tries to address them. Simple things like printing are a major effort. Unfortunately, miserable service is common in Tunisia, a wonderful place otherwise.
