"Intimate luxury hotel"
The friendliest staff! All are pleasant to deal with and eager to please. The one bedroom oceanfront room was luxurious. Housekeeping visited twice daily. Only 46 rooms so you get to know the guests at breakfast and beach. Restaurant is excellent for breakfast and dinner. Manager's cocktail party was great, another way to meet the staff and guests. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet, peaceful getaway.

"Nice hotel at the beach"
Very good personal. Reception was quick and efficient. We got even better room than we expected. Room was always clean. Location of the hotel is in the middle of Grace bay and the beach is incredible. Several things like snorkeling gear and paddle boards are complimentary. The only drawback was restaurant Asu. Very overpriced with average food. And the smell from the kitchen was to feel in the neighboring buildings. The previous restaurant Mango Reef at this place was much better. In general, this resort is a perfect facility in beautiful place.

"Beauty and quality that met our expectations"
My wife and I celebrated our 10 Yr Anniversary in Turks & Caicos with our 3 small children. We enjoyed a wonderful week long stay at The Somerset on Grace Bay. The quality of the hotel and beauty beach was true to everything advertised and written about by other guests. We spent most of our days between the beach and pool area while also taking the opportunity to explore Providenciales with a rental vehicle from Grace Bay Car Rentals (highly recommended). Taylor Bay, Sharkbite @ Turtle Cove, Da Conch Shack, Bugaloo's and the Thursday Night Fish Fry to name a few of our outings were all wonderful experiences. The staff at The Somerset were all very pleasant and accommodating. We did experience a few issues during and shortly after arrival with previously communicated requests with the concierge of which were minor and did not negatively affect our trip. I took the opportunity to meet with the Manager to make him aware of the issues to allow opportunity to improve. Our travel was during the low season, the hotel was sparsely populated and we did not experience any wait times at restaurants nor did we ever have difficulty securing beach chairs on chaise lounges by the pool. There were times where we felt like we had the hotel to ourselves! Our children did have the opportunity to play with other kids at the beach and pool. Toys, rafts, paddle boards, kayaks, mask & snorkels were always available for use. I will note that the staff was wonderful with our children.

"Nice Condo on the Beach"
The Royal West Indies (RWI) should not really be described as a hotel. It is really a condo property where the individually owned units are rented out to the public through a property manager when the owner is not in residence. This is typical of most of the resort properties on Grace Bay beach. RWI is a pleasant resort on the western end of the beach. It has lovely gardens that are well maintained by friendly resort staff. Other features of the property include two pool areas, a courtyard restaurant and a wide beach front. The beach front facilities include chaise lounges, umbrellas and on good weather days, a beach front bar. The condo units are well maintained by friendly housekeeping staff who clean the units and change linens and towels daily. Our studio unit had a pantry that included a sink, fridge, microwave and dishes. The unit also included a washer dryer set that came in very handy. The one and two bedroom units include kitchens with a stove. We loved the beach access the resort offers. The beach truly is one of the best in the world. The resort is also within walking distance or a short cab ride to many excellent restarurants along the beach. There is a well stocked grocery store about a 5 minute cab ride from the resort that looks like it is run by Waitrose out of the UK. Prices for many items are comparable to Canadian food prices although some are much higher. The resprt is a great place for rest and relaxation.

"Pretty resort for our honeymoon"
My husband and I stayed at Beaches Turks & Caicos in early January for our honeymoon. This was a fun place to stay. The only downside is that nightlife was quiet since many people/families visit with children. However, the resort does a nice job with some nighttime adult activities such as karaoke, bars (The Sky Lounge bar-Eric is an awesome mixologist), a nightclub (however the nightclub is suited more for people in their late teens and early 20's). The entire hotel and the grounds are well maintained, even the older section, which is the Caribbean Village. We stayed in the Caribbean Village which we enjoyed because of it's tropical feel and close location to the beach. The other villages are very pretty and do resemble the places they are named after (e.g. Key West Village, etc), however the beach areas located near Key West and the Italian Village were not as pretty and cozy (more seaweed in those areas) as the beach area located in the Caribbean Village. The Italian, French and Key West Villages are new and beautiful and the pool in the Italian Village was the place to be with games and excitement, if you are looking for a pool experience. Since we don't live near an ocean we stayed on the beach each day and enjoyed the amazing water! Drinks were served on the beach too :-)!The food at each restaurant we tried was delicious- Dino's pizza (brick oven personal size pizzas, good ingredients!), Sapodillas (excellent dinner-lobster), Schooners, Soy, Le Petite Chateau!

"Great condo on the less crowded part of Grace Bay"
This was our first stay on this end of Grace Bay (3rd overall) and it was great! Even though the beach was full in the mid part of grace Bay. The beach on this end was nearly deserted and made for some incredible walks. There was a bar and grill right next door, but we cook a lot.. Caught some Tuna and grilled it on the out door gas grill provided. Also lots of shells just past the non existent surf (this beach is more like a pool). The staff are very friendly and can arrange any trips you want to take
