Hotel was just okay.

Posted Sep 29, 2017
Pros: Convenience
Cons: Grab bars, higher toilets, better lighting
Location: Grand Canyon
This hotel does not have elevators. Due to knee replacements and back issues for both my husband and myself, we had requested a room on the ground level which we were given. The rooms in this area had handicapped parking spaces which was fine because we do have a placard. However, the room was definitely not designed for anyone with a handicap. The toilet sat very low to the ground and there were no grab bars in the shower at all. Most hotels these days have plenty of charging stations for electronic devices. This one did not. We have 2 laptops, 2 cell phones, and an iPad. Also, lighting was very poor. I always wonder what they're hiding when their lighting is inadequate. For the price you pay for the rooms, I expected more. I realize it's the location but still a disappointment and not a good value for the money.

Decent place. Close to park. Very busy place. Buy good at general store to take into park. Will save you money. Pillows were flat. They gave me fluffed up ones. Good place to stay.

Convenient for a visit to the GCNP

Posted Sep 27, 2017
nice and conveniente hotel near to the GCNP entrance. The rooms were spacious, clean and quiet, despite being in a motel style. and you can also get a 10% discount at the breakfast in the restaurant Plaza Bonita.

Very convenient

Posted Sep 26, 2017
Pros: Extremely comfortable beds and clean
Cons: Price
Location: Grand canyon is just 10 mins drive.
We were visiting the grand canyon for the day and this lodge was very convenient. It has everything that we needed and we were surprise with the quality of the rooms. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bathroom was new and very clean. It is true that it is a bit expensive but it has good standards. Also, they have free coffee and apples in the morning which is nice.

Nice hotel close to the canyon

Posted Sep 25, 2017
Pros: Location to the canyon, you get what you pay for.
Location: 15 minute drive to canyon, also have a small pool on site. Mexican restaraunt nearby is excellent too.
Hotel is in outstanding condition, the value for your room is worth it.

A 1970s hotel with few updates

Posted Sep 23, 2017
Pros: Close to the entrance of the Grand Canyon Park.
Cons: Lighting was poor, the building needs to be updated.
Very basic. You could see daylight through the gap in the door. No jimmy bar, just a chain lock. When we checked in, there was hair in the shower. The water coming from the bathroom sink smelled too bad to use. We used bottled water to make coffee and brush our teeth.

Good base for a visit to the Grand Canyon

Posted Sep 21, 2017
The staff member on check in was not real friendly, although this was made up for by the woman on duty when we checked out. An officious staff member told us to move out of a disabled parking spot close to our room before we had even turned our car off. We thought he was quite rude. Having said that, the room was as clean and comfortable and a god base to explore the Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon Stay

Posted Sep 20, 2017
Pros: Very Comforabale beds
A friend and I had a permit to go back country hiking the following day for three nights in the bottom of Grand Canyon. We wanted to get a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed and then leave very early for the trail head. I am a repeat visitor to the Red Feather Lodge and recommend them to my friends that want to stay in Tuscyan. The best rates if booked in advance.
