Good nights sleep

Posted Mar 12, 2017
Pros: Rooms were clean and quiet, bed comfortable, breakfast area clean and fully stocked. Easily accessible to freeway and other restaurants.
Was looking for a hotel when driving home from a family wedding.

One flaw makes a 1 star hotel ....

Posted Jan 10, 2017
Pros: Clean, very well kept.
Cons: Needs working Wi-Fi Internet.
Location: University of Alabama (duh)
The hotel is relatively new. the rooms are nice, clean and large. The bathroom has shower and bath tub. The mattress is so so. The problem is that the internet never worked while I was at the hotel. I work in IT (computers) so I know how to connect a laptop to a Wi-Fi hotspot. When I called the front desk all I got was a sorry .... Not we will reset the router, not we will call the ISP to get fixed. The hotel is run and staffed by people who don't speak English as there first language.

Affordable, convenient with Caution

Posted Dec 29, 2016 on Hotels
The bedding was old and worn. Piling (fiber balls) on the worn surface of the fitted sheet on the bed did not provide the most restful sleep. The wifi never connected after several attempts. The fire alarm in the room "chirpped" upon entering the room for a short time. The following morning it began chirping at 8:30 am until I checked out at 9:00. I reported it to the front desk when checking out. The bathroom/shower was spacious and the water warm with good pressure. The area around the hotel was quiet. Vending was adequate and easily accessible.

Fine for an overnight stay.

The hotel was as expected for a 3-star hotel: clean, comfortable, and adequate for a one-night stay. The hotel lobby was a bit unnerving though as it had an after-hours check-in window like at a bank drive-up window..don't know, but the glass separating us and the clerk might have been bullet-proof. It made us a little concerned about the neighborhood.
